ROB HALFORD - Fight: War Of Words, Rock In Rio Trailers Available
ROB HALFORD (jusdas priest) 53456hc1

In 2007, Metal God Entertainment (MGE) will release: Fight, War Of Words - The Film. Recorded throughout 1992 and 1993, this 5.1 surround-sound film presents a view of Rob Halford as he makes his decision to leave heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST, record and tour with his first solo band: FIGHT. The band's original audio-demonstration recordings (1992) will appear on a separate Fight soundtrack release. A promotional trailer is available at this location. http://www.robhalford.com/trailers/play-fight.html

As previously reported, also in 2007, Metal God Entertainment (MGE) will release: Halford - Live At Rock In Rio 2001. The formation of Rob Halford's new band (Halford) is chronicled from studio to road in 5.1 surround sound. After releasing Resurrection (2000) Halford screams through a 95-city, world-wide concert tour. The band's final-tour performance at Brazil's Rock in Rio III (2001) festival in front of more than a quarter-million metal fans presents an up-close view of one of metal's hardest working and innovative bands. The film's audio-only soundtrack release: Halford - Live at Rock In Rio III - was produced by Roy Z. The Halford - Resurrection/Rock In Rio 2001 - Silent Screams Film Trailer can be viewed here. http://www.robhalford.com/trailers/play-silent-screams.html

Judas Priest continue work on their upcoming concept album, Nostradamus, due out next year. In an interview with MTV.com earlier this year, Halford commented: ""It's going to have a lot of depth. There'll be a lot of symphonic elements. We might orchestrate it, without it being overblown. There may be a massive choir at parts and keyboards will be featured more prominently, whereas they've always been in the background before."

Live Insurrection (2001/2006): Re-releasing November 28th, 2006 on iTunes.com Keyword: Halford

Many Halford concerts were digitally captured during the band's ninety-five city Resurrection/Live Insurrection World Tour (2000/2001). It will not be the last live Halford concert The Metal God releases from that historic heavy metal tour; but it is recognized by fans, artists and critics world-wide as 'simply the most entertaining and best live concert release ever.' Live Insurrection (2001/2006) makes its thundering return to iTunes November 28th, 2006.

As the millenium arrived Halford hit the grueling, summer concert trail (August 2000), and began to punish the stagnant rock and metal audiences (2000/2001) in clubs, arenas and huge festivals. Night-after-night the Halford band brought blistering performances from their new release:
'Resurrection',
'Locked And Loaded',
'Made In Hell',
'Silent Screams';
as well as the higher reserve:
Fight's
'Into The Pit',
'Nailed To The Gun' and Judas Priest's
'Stained Class',
'Jaw Breaker',
'Beyond The Realms Of Death',
'Metal Gods',
'Breaking The Law',
'Genocide'
'Tyrant'
.

Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson's legendary duet, 'The One You Love To Hate' was recorded in London, England using the legendary mobile studio once owned by the Rolling Stones. Three rare Rob Halford and Priest demos ('Screaming In The Dark' (Halford), 'Heart Of A Lion' (Judas Priest), and 'Prisoner Of Your Eyes' (Judas Priest) appear as polished singles. Those tracks were arranged in London December 2000, and recorded in Los Angeles early February 2001; days after the band's Rock In Rio III Brazil performance.

Experience why The Metal God and new guitarists: Metal Mike Chlasciak and Pat Lachman, drummer Bobby Jarzombek and bassist Ray Riendeau were embraced world-wide on the band's exciting Resurrection/Live Insurrection concert-trek of 2000 and 2001.

Your Live Insurrection iTunes digital pack features: mastered audio, new and enhanced art by artist Marc Sasso, expanded liner notes and exclusive media at RobHalford.com with your iTunes order number. 'Crystal',
'Golgotha',
'She',
'One Will',
'In The Morning',

Silent Screams Singles EP (2006): During a 1999 recording session, Rob penned lyric and melody of a song idea while reflecting on his solo career. This exposition became Silent Screams, and ignited Rob Halford and manager John Baxter on a hunt for a new musical producer: Roy Z. and a new studio and touring band: Halford.

Silent Screams Singles EP (2006) includes Rob Halford's original 1999 demonstration recording which presents a reflective and determined man's confidence. Fight: K5 - The War Of Words Demos (1992/2006):

Rob Halford worked alone in studio for months late-1991 and early-1992 writing and recording songs for a possible solo release. Shortly after covering 'Delivering The Goods' with SKID ROW, and writing 'Light Comes Out Of Black' and then recording it with members of PANTERA for the Buffy The Vampire Slayer soundtrack (1992); Rob began to get anxious for his own solo band and he began to recruit. By July 1992 the lineup was set: Russ Parrish and Brian Tilse - Guitars, Jay Jay - Bass and Scott Travis - Drums. The members of Fight were flown into Phoenix for their first rehearsal of new Rob Halford-penned tracks.

Only six days into rehearsals, Rob requested the band's rehearsal be recorded; and the new band and management were shocked at this early request. The performances are powerful but loose, and were originally put down so the band could reference the tracks as rehearsal continued. Rare film footage of Fight's very first rehearsals for the War Of Words release were captured in 1992, and will appear in MGE's 2007 film release: Fight: War Of Words - The Film.

The K5 recordings represent all final and working ideas Rob had assembled for his new band to perform. Many of Rob's favorite tracks from those sessions were never released: 'Down', 'Forbidden', 'Dead Men Talk', 'Beast Denies'; and with all demo tracks now finally assembled; Metal God fans world-wide finally have an opportunity to hear Rob Halford's vision of his first solo release.

Most Fight tracks from the War Of Words release are now well known by the global Rock and Metal communities, but what does K5 represent to the band? Here's the story: Fight's original demo recordings were secretly re-titled in the rented-studio's tape-storage room during the 1992 sessions. Anyone seeing Rob Halford or Fight on a reel of tape after hours; would more likely put the tape on one of the decks for a listen. Anyone seeing K5 on the tape would probably leave the tape alone, our Metal God reasoned.

K5 features the first original demonstration recordings written by Rob Halford and performed by Fight; shortly after Rob's departure from metal legends Judas Priest.

Your 'Fight: K5 The War Of Words Demos (1992/2006) iTunes digital pack features: mastered audio, new art by artist Marc Sasso, and expanded liner notes/exclusive media at RobHalford.com with your iTunes order number. Bonus era film footage of The Metal God and Fight are packaged with your full-album iTunes digital download purchase.

Participate and support Fight's fall 2006, 'global chart' positions, save on your own early purchase and gift K5 The War Of Words Demos (1992/2006) to friends and family by visiting: iTunes.com - keyword: Halford. Pre-sale begins November 21st, 2006 through November 27th, 2006.

Halford - Metal God Essentials - Volume 1 (2006):

Grip yourself, inhale and prepare your loudest Heavy Metal scream; Halford: Metal God Essentials - Volume 1 (2006) arrives this fall featuring rare demo recordings of Rob Halfords' first solo band: Fight (1992); as well as The Metal God's 1999 demo recording of Silent Screams which led to the formation of Halford. 'Forgotten Generation' and 'Drop Out,' Halford's first new tracks in four years are featured on what may be the most impressive Heavy Metal Essentials release this decade: Halford: Metal God Essentials - Volume 1 (2006).

Demo recordings of Rob's first solo material were uncovered in 2005. The rare recordings are of Fight's original 1992, K5 War Of Words working demos, and they represent Rob's first solo writings and performances away from Metal Legends Judas Priest. These are first-take performances of The Metal God and members of Fight during their first week of rehearsals July 1992.

New Halford tracks 'Forgotten Generation' and 'Drop Out' make their debut from the current Halford IV writing sessions (2006); providing new and first generation Rock/Metal fans the thrill, amazement and excuse to go insane - while celebrating new music from our legendary Metal God.

Halford's Resurrection (2000/2006), Live Insurrection (2001/2006) and Crucible (2002/2006) releases provide an unbeatable foundation to introduce rare tracks. One listen to the Halford bands original performances of:
'Resurrection',
'Made In Hell',
'Golgotha',
'Crystal',
'Screaming In The Dark',
'Slow Down',
'Locked And Loaded',
'Sun' and 'Trail Of Tears'

will provide plenty of excuse to keep this new Halford release close by all year.

Your Halford: Metal God Essentials - Volume 1 (2006) iTunes digital pack features: mastered audio, new art by artiss Marc Sasso, and expanded liner notes/exclusive media at RobHalford.com with your iTunes order number. BW&BK EXCLUSIVE: JUDAS PRIEST Frontman ROB HALFORD - "All The Nostradamus Writing Sessions Are Completed"
ROB HALFORD (jusdas priest) 53888uy4
JUDAS PRIEST singer ROB HALFORD spoke to BW&BK today about a number of topics including the forthcoming flurry of HALFORD reissues https://nath-urlich-forum.1fr1.net/post.forum?mode=reply&t=1083 that will hit Apple's iTunes Music Store at the end of November via MGE (Metal God Entertainment - Halford's new label). Speaking on the phone from his sunny California home in San Diego, Halford also revealed more information regarding the anxiously-awaited Nostradamus concept album that Judas Priest are currently working on.

"All the Nostradamus writing sessions are completed," says The Metal God, "and Ken (K.K. Downing - guitar) and Glenn (Tipton - guitar) are in the studio at the moment doing their bits. So that is going to take a while because it is just massive."

Have you written about lyrics yet for it? "I have the bulk of them sketched out. I have just come back to San Diego for a little bit of a break end to support this big slew of Halford reissues. I am working on my Nostradamus lyrics as we speak. On this recent trip I can't remember how long I was in England. It was over a month. The writing sessions have taken about three months, much like they did for Angel Of Retribution (2005). There are still ideas coming up for Nostradamus all the time, but the bulk of it is done."

When asked about the monstrous undertaking so late in their career, Halford beams - "Isn't it great, it is our first ever concept album/metal opera. We are just so stoked about that. After the critically acclaimed Angel Of Retribution and the success the metal fans gave us for that record, it would been an even bigger task to to go in and do another studio album. And then Nostradamus raised his head and we all went 'Oh my God, this is unbelievable, did Nostradamus prophecize that Judas Priest would be doing at metal opera about his life in 2007?' It is so cool isn't it? We are just immersed in the land and world of Nostradamus right now. It is incredible."

Halford adds: "Our feeling in Priest with Nostradamus was that the fans have been clamoring for a concept album for as long as we've been together. Some people think that Painkiller (1990) was a concept album. Some people think that Sad Wings Of Destiny (1976) was a concept album. Both of them were not. But this is a moment now, three decades later, where we can put all that thinking in one place, and create this one big metal opera called Nostradamus. And everybody will be happy - in happy metal land we hope!"

BW&BK's chat with The Metal God will be featured in BW&BK's famous BravePicks 2006 issue (#101) that streets in late November. Watch this space for more from BW&BK's chat with Rob Halford!

ROB HALFORD - "I Have To Do My Black Album With IHSAHN At Some Point"
ROB HALFORD (jusdas priest) 53923ad2
JUDAS PRIEST singer ROB HALFORD spoke to BW&BK yesterday (October 27th) about a number of topics including the forthcoming flurry of HALFORD https://nath-urlich-forum.1fr1.net/post.forum?mode=editpost&p=2533 that will hit Apple's iTunes Music Store at the end of November via MGE (Metal God Entertainment - Halford's new label) and the Nostradamus concept album that Judas Priest are currently working on. Halford also talked about his black metal yearnings and revealed his desire to work with EMPEROR frontman IHSAHN. "Where it is cold and wet and dark and damp, that is where some of the greatest metal in the world comes from - Norway Sweden and Denmark, those climates," Halford explains. "I have to do my black album with Ihsahn at some point. It's a burning desire of mine to park myself in Scandinavia for awhile and work with that genius. He's making a second solo record - (the follow-up) to The Adversary (2006), which I couldn't stop playing. I have this burning desire to make at least one record with Ihsahn at some point, just me and him together. That's just on my list of haven't been there, haven't done that yet."

ROB HALFORD: "Everything Surrounding Us Is Connected With The Written Word"

ROB HALFORD (jusdas priest) T58305 JUDAS PRIEST frontman ROB HALFORD has issued the following message:

"Hi Everyone:

Below is a fun interactive blog for us all. The use of words is vital to myself when creating lyrics. Words make war and peace, love and hate. Everything surrounding us is connected with the written word.

Below are my five words. After considering my five words; please list your five words.

Have fun!

Love Rob."

====

Absorb: All the choices and decsions I make come from my absorbing

Chill: I have to do it. Clear my mind; afterwards I feel re-energised

Responsibility: You have it whether you know it. I use this virtue to do the best with my abilities

Fear: I possess less when I seek and search the source of fear through knowledge

Music: It's what I live for and what makes the world join together as one

Send Rob your list at this location.

Launch Radio Networks recently issued the following report from Bruce Simon:

Things are going well with the recording of the new Judas Priest album. It's a concept album about the 16th Century French prophet Nostradamus, and the band has started thinking about release dates.

Frontman Rob Halford told us that everyone's excited about the project: "The writing sessions were fantastic - some of the best writing that (guitarists) Glenn (Tipton) and K.K. (Downing) and myself have ever created, and we're in good shape, we're recording. And finger's crossed, and with the belief that it's ready when it's ready, we should be out by the middle of 2007 with Nostradamus."

This will be Priest's first album since Angel Of Retribution came out in 2005, marking Halford's return to the group.

Judas Priest is also working out the details for a stage show to go along with the album's subject matter.

ROB HALFORD Signs On For Celebrity Interview At 2007 NXNE

Strap on your leathers, rev up your engines, and get ready to bow down before The Metal God. North By Northeast Music and Film Festival, Canada’s “Best New Music” festival, is electrified to announce that heavy metal maverick ROB HALFORD has signed on for a celebrity interview on Saturday, June 9th, from 2 PM to 3 PM in Regency Room C at the Holiday Inn On King (370 King West, Toronto, ON). (Interviewer TBA).

Widely referred to as ‘The Metal God,’ Halford helped bring heavy metal out of the dank, dark bars of the world and into the mainstream as the leather-clad, Harley Davidson-riding frontman for mega-group JUDAS PRIEST. His distinctive voice and aggressively stylized way of dressing helped solidified the sound and image of heavy metal, an image embraced by musicians and metal heads to this day.

Halford, who first departed Judas Priest in 1992 after 20 years of service behind the mic to form other successful bands, including FIGHT, HALFORD and TWO, will be bringing more than just his larger-than-life persona and musical experience to the 13th annual NXNE festival, being held June 7th - 10th. Halford also has some exciting news to pass your way.

This summer marks the release of Halford Metal God Essentials - Volume 1, Halford's first Greatest Hits package of his solo career. Thirteen dynamic tracks from the man's Fight and Halford projects have been remastered and presented along with the Halford band's first new songs in more than four years: Forgotten Generation and Drop Out. Later this year and early in 2008, three new 5.1 Rob Halford films depicting life inside the bands Fight and Halford will also be released. If all this weren’t enough high-voltage news for you, Judas Priest, with The Metal God at the helm, will launch another world tour in 2008 in support of their new concept album.

No doubt, Halford will have plenty to say about all of this and more when he sits down with our special guest interviewer.

For well over three decades, Rob Halford has stood firmly at the top of the metal heap as the genre's definitive vocalist and ambassador of mayhem. We at NXNE would like to give you the opportunity, if only for a moment, to stand up there with him.

NXNE, Canada's "Best New Music" Festival, takes place in Toronto from June 7th - 10th, with 450 bands playing more than 30 different venues through four days and nights.
