HELION To Be Included On Heavy Karaoke DVD

Finland's HELION check in with the following news:

"Yes folks, we are proud to say that 'Devil’s Tattoo' has been chosen to represent Helion on the next Hevikaraoke (Heavy Karaoke) DVD. Working title for the DVD is UG-disc, referring to underground bands who are still without label.

The DVD will include the total of 14 bands and 16 songs, containing different styles of metal and hard rock. There will be both the original and the karaoke (without lead vocals) versions of each song.

The DVD will be released at Finnish Metal Expo next February.

HELION To Appear On Finnish Radio This Week

Finnish melodic metallers HELION have issued the following update:

"On January 23rd, at around 1800 hours Finnish time (which is +2 GMT) Jaakko (Kunnas - guitar) and Kimmo (Korhonen - guitar) will be heading towards the studio of Pommiradio, a Finnish Internet radio station that concentrates on metal music and all things related. So be sure to tune in and get educated… or entertained, which ever is more plausible."

Helion released the Mercury Rising EP in November.

HELION Part Ways With Singer

Finnish melodic metallers HELION have issued the following update:

"We are sorry to announce the following: A little while ago, Jukka (Salo - vocals) told us that he no longer has neither the time nor the required interest to stick with Helion. These are what we call personal reasons, which we understand. Naturally, we’re disappointed in his decision, but considering the situation by large, it’s best for both parties that we move on.

Jukka may post a brief statement on his behalf, in a while at least. Until that, we close this chapter of the Helion saga. We remain friends, this has nothing to do with chemistry.

So, we’re a vocalist short. Any of you who may be interested in the job, can contact us via email: helionprog@gmail.com. Include a sample of your work (mp3 or a link will do). We can also provide an instrumental background to work with, just ask.

What we’re looking for is a charismatic singer with a personal, strong voice and good stage presence. All material up to date should be interpreted convincingly, which means strong clean voice with enough vocal range. Also, strong gritty vocals will be a great addition to the total scale. Preferred age around 25."

HELION - New Live Video Available

Finnish melodic metallers HELION have issued the following update:

"Like we promised, we’ve got some treats stored for you and today’s the day the bag of fun finally opens. Like you may or may have not known, we had two cameras shooting the special show (in Lahti on April 27th) and today’s the day to harvest what was sown. Unfortunately the gig wasn’t without human errors as the better audio quality was lost on the battlefield. What was salvageable was salvaged, and thus we give you 'God Of Fire'."
