ZONARIA Finishes Recording Debut Album


Swedish melodic death metal band ZONARIA has finished tracking the songs for its upcoming, as-yet-untitled debut. A new studio video can be found at the band's MySpace page.

Commented the band: "We had a blast recording with Per (Nilsson, SCAR SYMMETRY) in Kabyss studios. The tracks have really grown since we first did the preproduction some months ago. His knowledge has been really good for us and for our musical development.

"We ran into loads of technical problems on the way, especially with the drum recording sessions... luckily we got out of it — not just alive and kicking, but with a damn good album in our hands. The guitars are going to be damn heavy and damn groovy, the drums are so tight and sound so pummeling that you'll be thrown off your chair and the vocals will go above and beyond everything!!

"During the recording process we learned loads of new stuff and developed as musicians a great deal. It feels really great being able to experience this, with such an experienced and good studio technician/producer.

"After these two weeks of recording, we got a result we're really satisfied with. It's a real relief that it all turned out so much better than we had hoped from the beginning. Now we're all waiting for Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY) to do the mixing of the album in Black Lounge Studios.

"If everything goes as planned it will be finished, mixed and mastered in the beginning of February 2007."

ZONARIA will begin mixing the CD with Kjellgren next month for a tentative late spring release via Pivotal Rockordings.

ZONARIA - New Live Video Available

Swedish death metallers Zonaria have posted a live video clip of the song 'The Last Endeavor' which will appear on their upcoming as-of-yet untitled debut effort through Pivotal Rockordings. Guitarist Emil Nyström has updated the band's MySpace page with the following message regarding the video:

'We are happy to announce that today we have posted a live video for the song 'The Last Endeavor'!! This video comes off our recent appearance at the Shadow Of Metal festival in our hometown of Umeå, Sweden. We know that a lot of fans will have a bit of a wait until the CD drops in September, but we hope that this awesome live clip will be able to tide people over for a bit until we post a few songs online during the summer! We got a lot of great feedback from the fans that came and listened to "Evolution Overdose" while it was up a few weeks ago and we can assure our fans that if you liked 'Evolution Overdose' you haven't heard the best, which is coming soon!"

Zonaria also recently have locked up a booking deal with Go Down Believing Booking and the band expects to hit the road in the fall on a tour in support of their as-of-yet untitled debut release, which will hit stores in September

ZONARIA - More Audio Samples From Infamy And The Breed Available

Swedish death metal quartet ZONARIA have issued the following update:

Guitarist Emil Nyström comments on the medley:
"As a thank you to all of our 2,000-plus fans that came to check out 'Descend Into Chaos' last month, we decided to post this little teaser which has clips from three songs from our new album! Stay tuned, because we will be posting a new song on our myspace page again next month, and it will stay up 'till the release, so we look forward to hearing what people think of that! Finally, we'll be shooting a video for the song 'The Armageddon Anthem' with Standard Film Team, who did our last video for the song 'Rendered In Vain'! They did a great job on that, so we are really excited to see what they can do for the first single from Infamy And The Breed!"

Swedish death metal quartet ZONARIA have recently revealed the official artwork for their upcoming debut album, Infamy And The Breed. Guitarist Emil Nyström had the following to say regarding their upcoming video shoot for their first single, 'The Armageddon Anthem'.

“First off, we want to thank everyone that has checked out the medley we put up last month. So far we are getting a lot of great feedback from it, and we will be filming the music video for our first single, 'The Armageddon Anthem', on July 28th with the awesome Standard Film Team once again. The video will be shot in the largest crane factory in Scandinavia, so expect chaos! We have also posted the artwork from our upcoming release through Pivotal Rockordings, Infamy And The Breed, which was designed by the infamous Seth (ROTTING CHRIST, VADER, DECAPITATED), and we are finally proud to announce the first ever official Zonaria forum! ZONARIA Announce Lineup Changes; Issue Video Update

Swedish death metal quartet ZONARIA have issued the following update:

"Hey everyone! Time to get you updated on what's been happening in Zonaria the last couple of days!

We've been planning alot for the music video and this shit is turning out to be really good. The video is gonna kick major ass.

Also, as the topic reveals we got some bad and good news to announce. Our good friend Jerry Ekman has left his spot as bass player for Zonaria to sort his current life situation out. He felt that he couldn't pay 100% attention to what was happening in the band.

Good news is that we've already found a replacement in none other then Markus Åkebo. He’s impressed on us with rabid bass playing and headbanging skills.

Markus about joining the band: ”I’m really glad to be a part of this up and coming band thats soon going to take over the world. We’re already working hard on plans to visit all of europé during this fall. See you all on the road soon.”

Swedish death metallers ZONARIA have posted their first single, 'The Armageddon Anthem', online via the group's official MySpace page.

The track comes from the band's forthcoming Pivotal Rockordings debut Infamy and the Breed. A video for the track was shot by Standard Film Team.

Umeå, Sweden melodic death metal quartet ZONARIA have issued the following update:

ZONARIA Issue Update From The Road

Swedish metallers ZONARIA have posted the following update:

"Hey Zonaria Nation!

We are now in Eskisehir, Turkey giving you all an update on the tour! Tonight we played our first show on the continent of Asia and it was really great! It is great to see that metal is really thriving everywhere in the world. Last night in Istanbul we had a fan from Saudi Arabia come up just to see us:, we were totally happy about that to say the least. In fact, we have had great shows every night of this tour so far! The MARDUK guys have been great on this tour and we have had a great experience with them thus far.

We are looking forward to making our debut in Greece, and then up the Baltic coast through Croatia (where we played with IMPALED NAZARENE) and then onto Slovenia, Austria, and Germany. We are very excited about this coming leg of the tour. So many of our fans have been writing to us about their excitement for our coming shows and we really look forward to playing to crazy crowds as we have for almost every date this tour! All we can say is that we will come, destroy and conquer!
