BON JOVI And KENNETH COLE Raise Funds For The Homeless

JON BON JOVI has teamed up with fashion designer Kenneth Cole for the 'R.S.V.P. to Help' fundraiser event for the homeless in New York. The event will take place at the Tribeca Rooftop in New York City on January 25th. Jon Bon Jovi will perform at acoustic set on the night and Cole will host the VIP party on the rooftop.

"I am honored to collaborate with Jon on such a heart-warming project as R.S.V.P. to HELP. We have the same vision of helping those less fortunate and the partnership just works, says Kenneth Cole in a statement. "This night will be very special to a lot of people." This is the second charitable venture that Kenneth and Jon have worked on together, the first being a collection of co-designed jackets with proceeds also benefiting the homeless". The host committee includes SIR ELTON JOHN, Kevin Bacon and Al and Tipper Gore. The chairman is President Bill Clinton. 500 guests will attend the charity even

BON JOVI’s new album, Lost Highway, is set for release on June 19th. The "soulful" first single, '(You Want To) Make A Memory' goes to radio on March 20th.

Flush with the success of their record-breaking world tour and multi-platinum album Have A Nice Day – Island Records group Bon Jovi has completed a new album, Lost Highway.

Produced by Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts) and John Shanks (who co-produced Have A Nice Day, and whose credits include Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Chris Isaak and others) Lost Highway will arrive in stores June 19th on Island Records/Mercury Nashville. '(You Want To) Make A Memory', the first single from the new album, will be blasted out to radio on Tuesday, March 20th.

Bon Jovi is scheduled for live performances of '(You Want To) Make A Memory' on the upcoming 6th annual CMT Awards broadcast (April 16th live from Nashville); on Fox’s American Idol (May 2nd); and on NBC’s Today Show Outdoor Plaza (June 19th). Mean­while, Bon Jovi-watchers have already discovered the album’s title song, 'Lost Highway' in the new box office smash film, Wild Hogs. BON JOVI - World Tour To Commence In January

Last night, BON JOVI performed their new single, '(You Want To) Make A Memory' live on American Idol. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi told host Ryan Seacrest that Bon Jovi's world tour would kick off in January (2008) and until then, the band would play "selected dates" this year including a ten night run in New Jersey.

As previously reported, the new Bon Jovi album, Lost Highway, hits stores June 19th.

JON BON JOVI says fans who are disappointed in his band's light touring schedule for 2007 will be rewarded for their patience in 2008.

"There's going to be a real tour, but not 'til next year," says Bon Jovi. "They're routing it now. I think it's Japan and Australia for January into mid-February, then the States. Early spring in Europe we'll be outdoors, then outdoors in America - the usual kind of run that we do."

As previously reported, the band's country-flavored new album, Lost Highway, is due June 19th, but the vocalist won't be touring immediately because his family is preparing to move from the Rumson, N.J. area to Manhattan and he wants time to settle everybody.

"It's part of my growth period," Bon Jovi explains. "My wife and I just want to make the change. We're not selling our house here; we're just moving to New York. It's one of those kinds of things. The kids'll go to school here. It's a big change."

Bon Jovi will still be visible once Lost Highway, which features collaborations with Big & Rich and LeAnn Rimes, comes out. He's planning a TV blitz that will include Today on June 19th, The View on June 20th, Ellen on June 21st-22nd and Larry King Live. There will be some spot shows, including Milwaukee's Summerfest, the Live Earth show July 7th at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and a 10-night stand to help open the new Prudential Center in Newark this fall.

The band will also tape a version of Unplugged that's slated to be shown on MTV, VH1 and CMT later this year. "I think because it's going to be on all three, I'm gonna over-record a lot of songs and then give them different programming," says Bon Jovi, who plans to augment his band with other instrumentalists and hopefully the guests from Lost Highway. "I'll get LeAnn to come up, maybe Big & Rich to come up. It'll be a free for all - why not?"

BON JOVI Guitarist Leaves Rehab

Richie Sambora has left a Los Angeles treatment facility after a weeklong stay. A rep for BON JOVI told People magazine that the guitarist completed a program at the UCLA Medical Center, and is doing well. Although the specific nature of his problem was not disclosed, Sambora checked into the facility a day after reports surfaced that Sambora was visibly intoxicated during Bon Jovi's recent taping of MTV Unplugged.

Friends claim the rocker's personal difficulties are to blame for his behavior. He recently split with longtime girlfriend Denise Richards, which followed his divorce from actress Heather Locklear. His father also died recently.

Sambora is expected to join Bon Jovi at all supporting appearances following the release of the band's new album Lost Highway on June 19th.

They are slated to perform on the The View on June 20th and have a scheduled appearance on the Today Show.

A light touring schedule is being set up, beginning June 24th in London

According to Billboard.biz, for the first time since 1988, BON JOVI tops The Billboard 200. Lost Highway sold 292,000 in United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the rock troupe's biggest one-week sum since Nielsen began tracking sales data in 1991. The Island/Mercury Nashville set is Bon Jovi's third No. 1 album, joining 1988's New Jersey and 1987's Slippery When Wet. Sales were fueled in part by the group's new country fanbase, wrangled in with the 2006 No. 1 Hot Country Songs hit 'Who Says You Can't Go Home' featuring SUGARLAND's Jennifer Nettles

JON BON JOVI Wants Coffee-Based Energy Drink Mijovi To Change Name




According to the The Associated Press, JON BON JOVI wants the owner of the Mijovi energy drink to change its name, arguing it is too similar to his famous moniker.

But Marcos Carrington says his coffee-based energy drink is named after his girlfriend, whose name is Jovita, not the 45-year-old rocker.

In a January 22 letter, Los Angeles lawyer Peter Laird, representing Bon Jovi, objected to the word ‘‘Mijovi’’ as well as other words ‘‘itsmijovi’’ and ‘‘itsmilife’’ that appear in the company’s marketing materials and on the can. Rather than use Carrington’s spelling, the letter used the phrases, "It’s My Jovi" and ‘‘It’s My Life.’’

‘‘As you should be aware, one of Bon Jovi’s most popular songs is entitled ‘It’s My Life,’’’ the letter states. ‘‘We hereby demand that you immediately cease and desist all further use of the name ‘Mijovi’ and ‘It’s My Life.’’’

Carrington said the words ‘‘itsmijovi’’ and ‘‘itsmilife’’ are meant to mean ‘‘it’s my jovial life.’’ The full phrase on the can is ‘‘itsmienergy.itsmijovi.itsmilife.’’

‘‘It is just unfair,’’ Carrington, 37, told the Asbury Park Press for Thursday’s newspapers. ‘‘It is unfair because Mijovi has nothing to do with Bon Jovi.’’

A spokeswoman for Bon Jovi declined comment when contacted by the newspaper.

Carrington said he started Mijovi in August 2004 as a way to raise funds for an environmental consulting business.

He said there were no coffee-based energy drinks even though coffee is one of the bestselling beverages in the U.S. Working with a flavour company, he developed Mijovi, a coffee drink that contains taurine, B-vitamins and caffeine.

Carrington says he’s willing to stop using ‘‘itsmilife’’ on cans once an inventory of 3,000 cans is used up. But he says he’s keeping the faith — and the name Mijovi.
