ROYAL HUNT - "A New Album Is In The Works"

Dutch metallers ROYAL HUNT have issued the following update:
"Happy New Year, everybody! We'd like to thank you for your support in 2006 and wish you all the best in 2007… now here are a few things we'll be entertaining you with in the New Year. A new album is in the works – recordings will start during the summer, so we're expecting it to be released in Oct/Nov 2007. Fans of the 'large format bombastic soundscapes' – rejoice! We've started to review the video footage for the future re-packaging/re-release of the two of our live concerts : '1996' and 'Closing The Chapter' - no release dates as of yet, but we´ll keep you posted. We´ll be playing some shows this early spring, so keep an eye on this and tour pages. Now let the corks fly and champagne flow – Happy New Year!

And here's a little thing for your New Years Eve´s entertainment – our very own Top 10 albums of 2006 (OK, some of them are just a tiny little bit older)."

Royal Hunt vient de se séparer de John West, le chanteur du groupe, pour les traditionnelles raisons de divergences musicales. Les deux parties n'excluent pas une collaboration future, mais sous un autre nom.

C'est sur le site officiel, John West lache le groupe, le DVD 2006 cloture 8 années de collaboration et sera donc la dernière production de ce line-up, séparation effective le 16 mars :

Danish hard rockers ROYAL HUNT have launched a vocalist search following the recent departure of John West. All applicants must meet the following criteria:

01. You must be an energetic frontman with an adequate image
02. You must be technically able to perform any of the songs from RH's back catalogue
03. You must be willing to tour and be comfortable in the studio environment

L'enregistrement du prochain Royal Hunt débutera en Mai. L'album sera une suite à "Paradox" et contiendra une dizaine de morceaux. Pour l'instant, aucune news concernant le remplaçant de John West.

ROYAL HUNT - Guest Vocalists For New Album Revealed

Dutch metallers ROYAL HUNT are currently putting the finishing touches on their new album at NorthPoint Studio. The album is set to become a sequel to their critically acclaimed 1997 release Paradox. Among guest singers you'll be able to hear contributions from Doogie White (RAINBOW, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), Ian Parry (ELEGY, CONSORTIUM PROJECT), Kenny Lubcke (NARITA) and Henrik Brockmann (ex-Royal Hunt, EVIL MASQUERADE). Mixing will begin in the next few days at EMI/Medley Studios.
