Earthshaker Festival - Date Set For 2007

The organizers of the Earthshaker Festival, which took place in Kreuth, Germany from July 20th - 22nd, have issued the following message to the fans:

"Dear Earthshakers,

We'd like to thank you all for a fantastic Earthshaker weekend. In spite of the heat the party vibe was phenomenal and positively overwhelming. You've proven that metalheads are the best, so a big fat thank you for that! In particular, your conduct in the Ostbayernhalle (during the storm) was exemplary. Earthshaker Festival - Win A Chance To Perform On Stage


The Earthshaker Festival, which runs from July 19th - 21st in Kreuth, Germany, has launched a contest in cooperation with MySpace inviting bands and solo artists to take a shot a winning an opening slot at this year's edition of the festival. Details are as follows:

"You want to be:
-- rich
-- famous
-- the center of attention at every party
-- swarmed by groupies

You are:
-- a solo artist or have a band with original songs featuring music that fits perfectly into the Earthshaker environment
-- at least 18 years old and live in Europe
-- a member of the MySpace community with rehearsal footage uploaded and ready for viewing
-- you've added the Earthshaker Festival as your Top Friend

We can make your dreams come true!

Follow the directions below and you could win an opening slot at this year's Earthshaker Fest and major exposure on MySpace:

1. Visit the Earthshaker Fest's official MySpace page at this location and add us to your TOP FRIENDS list.

2. Fill out the form on the official Earthshaker homepage.

DO NOT SEND US AUDIO FILES! Impress us with the music on your MySpace profile.

All information submitted on the form must be accurate and complete. One entry per solo artist/band only. Individuals can only enter once, either as a solo artist OR a band member. You MUST be available to perform on the weekend of July 19th - 21st, 2007. You never know ;-)

Our jury features qualified members of the Earthshaker team, Nuclear Blast Records and MySpace and will narrow entries down to the top 20 acts. Once chosen, the winner will be chosen via fan / user voting.

Entries must be in no later than July 15th, 2007. Members of the Earthshaker team, the jury and their
relatives cannot enter the contest.

The winning act will get an opening slot on the Earthshaker Festival 2007 bill and a mega-feature on
MySpace.

Top 20 Earthshaker Contest Bands Finalized




Organizers of the Earthshaker Festival, which runs from July 19th - 21st in Kreuth, Germany, have issued the following update:
"It's done ! The Top 20 Earthshaker contest bands are finalized. We are overwhelmed about how many good bands have participated. After numerous nightshifts and discussions it wasn't easy to come to a final decision. However, the result is a good mixture of of various styles of metal. From now on it's your choice to vote for your favourite band. Have a look and listen to the Top 20 bands and vote your band on the pole position and put them right in the spotlight at the Earthshaker stage. You can vote at this location. We in any event would like to thank all participating bands, if you didn´t make it this time into the top 20 we suggest to continue, in many cases it was a narrow decision. We wish all Top 20 band loads of luck and we are looking forward to welcome the winner on thursday July the 19th live at Earthshaker."

TESTAMENT To Premier New Material At Germany's Earthshaker Festival

Organizers of the Earthshaker Festival, which runs from July 19th - 21st in Kreuth, Germany, have issued the following update:

"The running order is online. TESTAMENT will close the second Earthshaker Day, Friday, July the 20th, with a special show which will include an exclusive world premiere of brand new tracks for their forthcoming album - this one is must see! Also new are MORS PRINCIPIUM EST, for all fans who are into Finnish metal ala CHILDREN OF BODOM, DEADLOCK will present their the criticially acclaimed new album Wolves, JUSTICE and RUNAMOK will rock the house on Saturday at the aftershow party. Gerre, singer of TANKARD will be the DJ at the aftershow parties. It'll also be interesting to see who the winner of the band contest will be, they will open up the festival on Thursday. Up until July 8th of you can vote your favorite band right on the Earthshaker main stage. Day tickets are available now at the shop."
