MANITOU

Most of the best albums that we get these days are from Scandinavian artists, especially from Finland. But MANITOU just have one thing in common with the other artists from this country, a very good album. When you listen to the CD you always have the impression that you listen to a band from England instead. If you didn`t like the last releases from IRON MAIDEN too much, you should really listen to “No Signs Of Wisdom”. This is traditional heavy metal that we don`t get to listen to so much anymore. You will not get any boring stories about swords and warriors, you only get nine really good metal tracks. Even Paul DiAnno noticed that when MANITOU played as his special guest. He even asked them to play a couple of shows with him as his backing band. The only difference between the old IRON MAIDEN releases and their own album is the little progressive parts in some of the songs. But MANITOU is not just a copy, they just can not hide their influences. But also if you are not too much into the older MAIDEN stuff, you should also listen to this album if you more like bands just as HAMMERFALL, EDGUY or STRATOVARIUS, since their mid tempo tracks are not far away from what MANITOU are playing. This is just a big suprise and a album that you wouldn`t expect to get 2007 at all
