ICARUS WITCH - Post NAMM Studio Update

Pennsylvania's ICARUS WITCH took a week off from recording to do a meet and greet with Dean Markley Guitar Strings at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California. Pictures from this always entertaining week can be seen here.

Now, the boys are back in the studio in Pittsburgh, PA with producer Eric Klinger (Pro-Pain, Built Upon Frustration) putting the finishing touches on the band's second full length album, Songs For The Lost, which is slated for an early summer release. Look for tour dates to be announced, once their current drummer auditions have been finalized.

ICARUS WITCH's touring van was broken into and robbed early Sunday morning (August 12) after the band's performance in Chicago on Saturday night, August 11. The theft happened between 3 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. around the 2200 block of West Potomac in Chicago.

The following items were stolen:

* Black '74 Custom Les Paul guitar (20th Anniversary)
* Black Studio Les Paul guitar
* Black Jackson Rhoads Pro Flying V guitar (has one Seymour Duncan pickup & one Jackson pickup)
* Purple custom flame maple Surh guitar
* Sure Beta wireless microphone & receiver
* Pearl Eliminator double bass drum pedal in a DW case

A reward is being offered for information leading to the return of the instruments.

ICARUS WITCH will release its new album, "Songs for the Lost", on September 11 via the Cleopatra Label Group. The follow-up to 2005's "Capture the Magic" was once again produced by Eric Klinger (PRO-PAIN, BUILT UPON FRUSTRATION) and will include a cover of DEF LEPPARD's "Mirror Mirror", featuring a guest appearance by legendary RAINBOW/DEEP PURPLE vocalist Joe Lynn Turner.

"Songs for the Lost" will receive a simultaneous European release through Italy's Cruz Del Sur Music.

ICARUS WITCH Holding Signing Session At Pittsburgh Record & CD Convention This Morning


ICARUS WITCH have issued the following update:

"Just a last minute reminder that Icarus Witch will be doing an official meet & greet for Songs For The Lost on Sunday, October 21st at the awesome Pittsburgh Record & CD Convention in the Radisson Hotel, Green Tree.

The entire band will be there from 10 a.m. to noon, so please stop by and hang with the Witches at the Cleopatra Records booth (just look for the Cleopatra Banner).

There will be copies of the new album, Songs For The Lost, as well as posters and many other pieces of Witchy merch, many of which will be available here for the first time, just in time for All Hallows Eve!"

ICARUS WITCH Hosting Listening Party For New Album This Sunday In Connellesville, PA

ICARUS WITCH have checked in with the following announcement:

"For our Western PA bar-going friends, we'd like to invite you out to Riser's Pub this Sunday night, November 25th where from 8 - 10PM Icarus Witch have been invited by the ownership to be the guests of honor for a listening party in honor of Songs For The Lost.

This is Quinn's hometown pub and they're all real proud of the kid, so to show their support for 'local boy makes good," they're handing over the keys to the bar (ok, maybe they're not THAT crazy!!)

There WILL be many drink specials set to the soundtrack of Icarus Witch and other classic metal cranking over the PA. The event is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch so there should be plenty of Rolling Rock to get the rock rolling. Plus, I heard rumors of some scantily clad "spokesmodels"?!

There will be copies of the new album for sale as well as the latest merch including the first ever Icarus Witch long sleeve shirts and hats, just in time for winter!

ICARUS WITCH - Cover Version Of DEF LEPPARD's 'Mirror Mirror' Featuring JOE LYNN TURNER Available For Streaming

ICARUS WITCH's cover of DEF LEPPARD's 'Mirror Mirror' featuring vocalist Joe Lynn Turner is now available for streaming on the band's official MySpace page. The song appears on the band's new album, Songs For The Lost. New tracks 'Out FOr Blood', 'The Sky Is Falling' and 'Smoke And Mirrors' are also available. The following is the band's original press release regarding Turner's involvement, issued earlier this year:

"Joe Lynn Turner is our guest of honor on the new album, singing along with Matthew on the track 'Mirror Mirror', a High & Dry-era Deff Leppard rocker. We'll be opening this concert for local guitar god, Reb Beach and his melodic metal machine, WINGER on February 14th at The Rex Theater in Pittsburgh, so if you 'Can't Get Enough' arena rock, make sure to contact us and get your tickets through Icarus Witch. If you don't have a date, even better...you KNOW where the crazy action will be on the South Side that night!
