SOUL DOCTOR Ink Deal With Metal Heaven; New Record Due In July

"Sometimes, there are weird stories around about how a band was founded. The guys in SOUL DOCTOR for example already had known each others for many years, before they decided to make music together. Singer Tommy Heart (FAIR WARNING) and guitarist Chris Lyne even had a common past: both have been members in the Berlin based band HEARTLYNE for many years whereas Tommy and original bassist J.D. first had met during the tour of their previous bands Fair Warning and BONFIRE in the early 90’s. Despite all the success, they decided to give their careers a new start with the band Soul Doctor – a name which definitely has a strong meaning to them. This move marked the start of a new creative, passionate era for them.

In the year 2000, Soul Doctor went into a rehearsal room for 6 months to work on song-material for the debut album. Here lie the roots of the band which also became their own trademark later: a hard, bluesy sound with a rocky edge which comes straight from the heart! Before the album was out, Soul Doctor successfully went on the road with KINGDOM COME, opened for ALICE COOPER at a show in Berlin, performed at Wacken Open Air and a live showcase in Paris, France. Soul Doctor finally saw the light of day in 2001.

Shortly before the release of album No. 2, Systems Go Wild!, the band rocked the clubs down again – this time together with AXEL RUDI PELL. After the release of this album, another tour with DIO helped the band to increase the fan base more and more.

After 3 more years, Soul Doctor firstly presented the new rhythm section to the public which up to today consists of Mario B. (drums) and Jogy Rautenberg (bass). The first output with this new line-up is the current album Fistful Of Dolloars, another proof for their energetic, rocky Hard Rock sound. The album was released via Marquee Records in Japan and via Frontiers Records in Europe at the end of 2005.

Most recently, the band has signed a multi-album record deal for Europe with Munich based label Metal Heaven. Soul Doctor currently are busy in the studio record the yet untitled new album which supposedly will be released in July, 2007
