OLYMPOS MONS Inks Deal With Scarlet Records

Finland's OLYMPOS MONS have issued the following news:

"After a long battle with their former label Olympos Mons has finally got something going their way. A new deal with Italian Scarlet Records has been signed and the band is more pleased than ever.

The follow up to Conquistador, called Medievil, will be released sometime during the upcoming summer of 2007.

Our hearts are filled with hope and our teeth are sharpened says Ian E. Highhill. Olympos Mons is also searching for booking agencies to work with in Europe! So if you have an agency and you think you have something you can offer the band please contact band manager:

OLYMPOS MONS - New Album To Be Released In July

Scarlet Records has issued the following update on Finland's OLYMPOS MONS:

"Olympos Mons have just announced that they’ve parted company with Limb Music productions, which released their debut, Conquistador, in 2004, and signed a new worldwide deal with Scarlet Records (which licensed the album to Marquee/Avalon for the Japanese market).

Medievil is the title of the new studio effort, mixed by Janne Saksa at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.

The record will hit the stores in July, 2007 and has been already described as a big step forward compared to its predecessor, both technically and musically, as people can expect from a group of talented and experienced musicians as Olympos Mons certainly are, with a particular mention for the extraordinary singer Ian E. Highhill.

OLYMPOS MONS - European Release Date Confirmed For New Album




Finland's OLYMPOS MONS will release their new album, Medievil, on July 16th through Scarlet Records. The record was released in Japan by Avalon on June 21st. The band comment: "Heavier than ever, stronger melodies and bigger production, Olympos Mons are back. Armed to their teeth!"

Medievil was mixed by Janne Saksa at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.

OLYMPOS MONS - New Album To Be Released August 3rd in Europe

It was initially reported that Finland's OLYMPOS MONS would release their new album, Medievil, on July 16th in Europe through Scarlet Records. According to the band their German distributor, SPV, has announced August 3rd as the official release date for Medievil in Germany and the rest of Europe.

Medievil was mixed by Janne Saksa at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki.

OLYMPOS MONS Issue Year-End Update

Finland's OLYMPOS MONS have issued the following year-end update:

"Hi everybody, and best wishes to you all for a great 2008! We've been working with the promotion of our new record (Medievil) almost without breaks ever since the release in August. Writing emails, sending bulletins to webzines, and talking to global media. Hope it'll pay off someday!

For the moment we're negotiating with some booking agencies in Finland to see if we could get some gigs in rock clubs here in Finland. Olympos Mons is still at the moment quite unknown in it's homeland but that's about to change. We're also still looking for agencies abroad who would be willing to work with us so a lot of things are going on but nothing's certain yet.

During the making of Medievil, I kept a diary which I'm going to put out on our official MySpace site as a blog in the near future. Also, last summer we were filming a video which will be released sometime soon, so watch out for it on YouTube and MySpace.

We have also received so much encouragement and support from you all, you have really kept our spirit high the past year, so thank you all for that! Speak with you in February."
