| GREAT WHITE - New Album Title Revealed GREAT WHITE guitarist Mark Kendall and drummer Audie Desbrow spoke to Metalsickness.com about a number of topics including their upcoming reunion album. A few excerpts from the chat found here follow: Metalsickness.com: You celebrate this year the 25th anniversary of the band. What does it means to you ? Desbrow: "It means we've been around a hell of a long time." Kendall: "It's completely wacky how fast time has a way of flying right by you. I think it's a wonderful thing when you can make music with people you love working with and have longevity as well. We are always looking forward to the next tour, Album, or whatever and I think that's what keeps us going." Metalsickness.com: Can you give us more information about your new album? Kendall: "We just finished our record and we are all very excited. The energy from everyone was great. The band played better than ever and the songs are good too. We had a lot of fun making the record and I think that is the most important thing. If it's not fun don't bother, right." Desbrow: "Yes, the album is called Back To The Rhythm. It will have 12 tracks on it, except for Japan and Europe, they get bonus tracks. The US won't have. It will sound like Great White. But a really great production. The songs are very eclectic. Some songs sound as if they were from the 1984 era of Great White." Metalsickness.com: Do you think there’s still a place for band like Great White in 2007? Desbrow: "Absolutely, I believe the generation of music lovers are getting a little bored with all that negativity and sampled sounds and are searching for something real again. Don't get me wrong there are several new groups out now that are absolutely killer. I really dig them. What I mean is there are roots to music back when before it turned into product. There are many great musicians that played from the heart. It was always expressed through their music." Kendall: "We have never been concerned about the flavor of the month or whatever. There's a lot of great music out there and I think it is healthy to have all these different styles happening. But we will never change who we are because of what someone else does. Staying true to your music is what it is all about for me. We are still able to go and play the festivals with ZZ Top, Cheap Trick or whatever. As far as this music, I think there will always be an audience for rock and roll." Metalsickness.com: It seems that the music of the 80’s make a great comeback, with a lot of reunion tour. How do you analyze this revival ? Kendall: "I don't know about a great comeback but there does seem to be a little bit of attention brought to what was happening in the 80's early 90' or whatever due to VH1 etc." Desbrow: "Not much to analyze, Seems as if everything comes back around full circle. just about everything you know. styles of clothes, music, etc." Metalsickness.com: Why did you left Great White in 2000 ? Kendall: "I needed a break. We hadn't taken a proper break forever and I was a little stressed out." Desbrow: "We were all going through some very tough times. We had differences. So it was best for me to leave for the time being." Metalsickness.com: Can you tell us the story of the reunion ? Desbrow: "I got a call from Jack (Russell) one day, asked if I'd be interested in doing the reunion. He said he was tired of doing the "FAKE" White." Kendall: "The reunion was great just to see everyone and we were all equally excited to hang out and just jam."

| GREAT WHITE - Reunion, New Album, Summer Show Since reuniting in January '07 to perform a benefit concert, GREAT WHITE has moved forward and hit the studio for their first album in 8 years. “It’s just like old times,” states lead singer, Jack Russell. “There’s a bond that forms between people that is very special. I’ve missed my friends.” 2007 marks Great White's 25th Anniversary, so original members Jack Russell (vocals), Mark Kendall (lead guitar), Audie Desbrow (drums), Michael Lardie (guitar/keyboards) and Sean McNabb (bass) have been in studio the last few months writing and recording. Back To The Rhythm is being mixed, produced, and engineered by band member Michael Lardie while collectively all are adding their sounds to the mix. “The new songs sound fresh to me, very Great White, but with an approach of what we sound like in a live performance situation,” explains Michael Lardie. “Kendall and I are having fun channeling our Stones roots and playing off each other in the Richards/Woods tradition.” With it being their anniversary year and a new album in tow, Great White is once again ready to rock all summer long. The band will hit the road for summer shows nation-wide to support their new album Back To The Rhythm (Shrapnel Records) as well as slam out all their greatest hits the fans know and love. The Southern California blues-rock band first took a bite out of the rock scene in 1984 and since then has achieved worldwide success, encompassing sales of over six million records. They received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' and earned a double platinum certification for the album …Twice Shy. The soulful, blues-based signature sound that turned songs like 'Face The Day', 'Rock Me' and 'Save Your Love' into international hits, can also be found on the new songs which are currently being mixed by the band’s keyboard player Michael Lardie. The late 80's were boom years for the band, marked by non-stop touring with some of the biggest bands of the era and playing also in Europe and Japan. Great White recorded two more albums for Capitol - Hooked, which was certified gold and Psycho City. Although Capitol issued a Best Of compilation in 1993, Great White had already departed the label to begin work on their next studio release, “Sail Away”, released on Zoo Records in 1994 supporting it with relentless touring. Their next release was “Let It Rock” in 1996. Great White then signed with Portrait Records, an imprint founded by A&R guru John Kalodner that featured fellow hard rock acts such as Ratt. Can’t Get There from Here was released in 1999 and is the band’s last studio opus thus far. Shrapnel Records plans to release the newest album at the end of August 2007. | Fire Officials Debate Safety Four Years After GREAT WHITE Nightclub Blaze
According to The Associated Press, fire officials from two states plan to discuss whether safety laws are stringent enough four years after a deadly nightclub blaze in Rhode Island.
The fire at The Station nightclub in West Warwick killed 100 people and injured twice that many. It began in an overcrowded club when pyrotechnics from the GREAT WHITE ignited illegal soundproofing foam lining the club's walls.
Speakers at today's forum at a safety conference include fire marshals from Rhode Island and Massachusetts and experts from the National Fire Protection Association.
Rhode Island and Massachusetts passed sweeping changes to fire safety laws after the tragedy, although lawmakers in Rhode Island have called for scaling them back.

| Former GREAT WHITE Manager Biechele Can Be Questioned Regarding Station Nightclub Fire According to Projo.com, a rock band manager has lost his bid for blanket protection from further questioning concerning the Station nightclub fire that killed 100 people four years ago. Daniel M. Biechele’s lawyer argued in U.S. District Court, Providence, last week that he should be spared further questioning because his answers could lead to federal prosecution or charges in other states in connection to his job with the band GREAT WHITE. U.S. Magistrate Judge David L. Martin ruled yesterday that lawyers representing victims’ families may question Biechele, according to the Associated Press. But Martin also ruled that Biechele can use his constitutional right against self-incrimination by declining to answer questions that he believes might incriminate him. Biechele is serving a four-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. He admits he lit the pyrotechnics that triggered the 2003 blaze, but he said resulting injuries were unintentional. Victims’ lawyers argued that there was no evidence that any state or federal prosecutors were trying to build a new case against Biechele. But they said he can provide information that would help identify others who planned the concert and the pyrotechnics, as well as the identities of others, including public officials, who were aware of events leading up to the fire. | |

| GREAT WHITE To Play Club Where "Dimebag" Darrell DiedAccording to The Associated Press, the rock band whose pyrotechnics ignited a deadly nightclub fire is scheduled to play an Ohio venue tonight that has its own troubled past. GREAT WHITE is booked to perform at Alrosa Villa, the Columbus nightclub where guitarist "Dimebag'' Darrell Abbott (ex- PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) and four others died in a 2004 shooting. The fire on February 20, 2003, at The Station nightclub killed 100 people. It began when the band's pyrotechnics ignited flammable soundproofing foam inside the club. Concert industry watchdog Paul Wertheimer of Los Angeles-based Crowd Management Strategies calls it "a match made in hell.'' The club's manager says he realized the booking would raise eyebrows but was thinking of the fans. Great White lead singer Jack Russell says his band will always be under a cloud but wants to keep moving on.

| GREAT WHITE Tour Manager To Be Released In March
According to The Associated Press, the band manager whose pyrotechnics ignited a nightclub fire that killed 100 people will be released in March after having served less than half his 4-year sentence.
State Parole Board Chairwoman Lisa Holley says the board unanimously decided to grant Daniel Biechele (BEEK'-lee) parole.
Biechele pleaded guilty last year to 100 counts of manslaughter for the 2003 fire in West Warwick. He was working for the rock band GREAT WHITE when he ignited the blaze.
Of the 100 who died as a result of the blaze, more than 30 were from Massachusetts.
Holley says the board considered things such as remorse, risk of reoffending and plans for life after prison.
Holley says Biechele -- who is from Florida -- has requested to live out of state, but won't say where.
