BLAZE BAYLEY To Release New Album In October

According to MaidenFans.com, former IRON MAIDEN singer BLAZE BAYLEY will release his new record at the end of October 2007. The record will contain 14 new songs. According to a band update, "We also confirm for the first time, that the management and the band is planning a massive tour 2008/2009, covering over 150 concerts all over the world."

BLAZE BAYLEY - Two Gigs Postponed, Two Others Added

The following updates have been posted at former IRON MAIDEN frontman BLAZE BAYLEY's website:

"Postponed concerts due to DVD release...

We regret to inform you all that we must postpone the two concerts in Bristol and Leeds. Bristol Bierkeller will be postponed to September 6th, Bradford Rios to September 8th.

The band is working on the upcoming DVD release, and the schedule for this makes it necessary to postpone these gigs to ensure the highest quality possible of the material.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, but at the same time we hope you still look forward to being indoors with your friends in a warm and cosy athmosphere, surrounded by the best music possible, when the autumn weather outside is terrible."

Another message reads,

"Two more gigs added to the list! We happily announce two more gigs which will be added to the tour list."

Metal Mind Productions will be releasing the first Blaze Bayley DVD, Alive in Poland, recorded during the 21st edition of the Metalmania Festival, which took place on April 24th in Katowice, Poland.

Blaze and his band performed for over an hour and a half, presenting the best tracks from his discography as well as select tracks from his previous band, Iron Maiden ('Man On The Edge', 'Futureal').

The DVD will also include many great bonus features such as an interview with Blaze Bayley, an interview with all members of Blaze's band (featuring footage filmed during their visit to Poland) and more. The title will also be available in a limited edition including a CD with songs recorded at the concert.

Bayley was the lead singer in Iron Maiden for five years. During that period he recorded two albums, X-Factor (1995) and Virtual XI (1998). After parting ways with Iron Maiden in early 1999, Blaze Bayley put his own band together called BLAZE. They have recorded three studio albums, Silicon Messiah (2000), Tenth Dimension (2002), Blood And Belief (2004) and a live CD As Live As It Gets (2003). The band's new album will be released in fall 2007.

Alive in Poland DVD will be released on June 11th.

BLAZE BAYLEY - Two More Shows Canceled

Fans of BLAZE BAYLEY (ex-IRON MAIDEN singer) will doubtlessly be frustrated that two more shows from their current tour have been postponed until later this year: May 12th/13th in Tamworth, UK. As previously reported, two new shows have been added to the tour in Belgium and fans can at least look forward to the imminant release of the first Blaze Bayley DVD on June 11th.

BLAZE BAYLEY's (ex-IRON MAIDEN, WOLFSBANE) website has issued the following update:

"Thank you to everyone that has applied for the position of the drummer. We have had a massive response, all the audition CD's have been sent out and UK applicants should have them by now and all overseas should get them in the next couple of days, if you do not please let me know. The audition will take place in the Midlands and we will ask that six songs be played by you unassisted by any other musician or CD. Your audition will be assessed on how fantastic your drumming is and your overall persona and team spirit. Can you all please let me know which date suits you best from the emails I have sent you and we will do our best to accommodate that for you but no guarantees. The very best of luck to you and look forward to having you in our band."
