HANOI ROCKS have issued the following update:

"Voice TV did an in-studio interview with Hanoi Rocks (including clips from studio sessions) and it's aired several times this week on KPS Show (Finnish time):

HANOI ROCKS - Upcoming Radio Interviews Confirmed

As previously reported, HANOI ROCKS' new 'Fashion' single is now released in Finland and on June 21st it'll be released in rest of the Europe and Japan. In Finland you can download the new single from Musiikkilataamo.hs.fi.

The forthcoming radio interviews are confirmed in support of the single:
Radio Helsinki on Thursday, May 17th at 6 PM

HANOI ROCKS - "We Have A Record Ladies And Gentlemen!"


The following is an updated Studio Blog from HANOI ROCKS regarding the recording sessions for their forthcoming album:

"Are we done yet? Well the good news is; we are!!! We have a record ladies and gentlemen! We're just in the studio having put the track listing together after a couple of months of intense studio work.

We feel very happy about the feedback for the single (that went straight up to No.1 on the Finnish charts once it was released)! It will be released in the rest of Europe and Japan on June 21st.

For the technically minded people (there's been quite a few questions about equipment etc), we?'ve been putting down all the bed tracks in the same room together with Lacu with Michael doing a guide vocal at the same time. Some guitars and most of AC's basses have been kept from the bed tracks in order to keep the live feel. The rest has been overdubbed afterwards. Mainly Marshall amps (+Fender and Gibson amps) have been used by Conny and Andy and AC's used his Ampeg bass rig. No editing has been done with the drums, Lacu played everything from beginning to end the way it comes out on the record. Lacu's been using his Pearl live kit. The guitar stuff?s shared between Andy and Conny and there?s sax and harp solos by Michael too. Additional instruments have been added to give the record more color but that?s for us to know and for you to find out. We admit we?ve been pretty shit with updating this blog etc but the most important thing for us is (and has always been) the music and the proof is now in the pudding. Anyone fancy a bite?"

HANOI ROCKS To Take Part In "Meet & Greet" Session At Sweden's Peace & Love Festival

HANOI ROCKS will do a "Meet & Greet" session at Peace & Love Festival in Sweden on Friday, June 29th, following their acoustic gig.

Fans will have a great chance to meet the band and get a new fan card signed.

Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS will be releasing their as-yet-untitled new album on September 5th via Victor Entertainment/JVC Music. The initial CD pressing will contain a "Skull Bandanna (Creature from The Living)" and a bonus track. The first single from the album, 'Fashion' hit the #1 spot on the official Finnish Singles Charts in late May. Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS have announced that their forthcoming album will be called Street Poetry. The band's next single will be available in August. As reported earlier today, Street Poetry will be out on September 5th via Victor Entertainment/JVC Music. HANOI ROCKS To Play Three Gigs In Two Days In Helsinki

Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS have issued the following update:

"Hanoi will do three gigs in two nights at Tavastia Club, Helsinki in September. Two of them are regular shows starting around midnight but for the first show on Saturday, the 15th there is no age-limit and the show-time is as early as 7 PM. Tickets for all the shows are available at Tiketti.

New single, 'This One's For Rock'N'Roll', is available for download tomorrow!

The dates with THE QUIREBOYS are NOT happening. There was a tour in the works for Hanoi Rocks with the Quireboys, but unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, it never came to its fruition. Therefore, these couple of dates that apparently have been advertised prematurely, are also NOT happening. No contracts have ever been signed by Hanoi Rocks and any possible ticket sales are unauthorized. If you have bought tickets, we advise you to demand a refund. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

HANOI ROCKS' performance at the 2008 edition of Finland's Ilosaarirock festival will stream live online tonight (Friday, July 11) via YleX TV at this location. The live stream will be available from 10:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (Finnish time).

The Ilosaarirock festival is being held July 11-13 in Joensuu, the capital of Eastern Finland.

HANOI ROCKS recently announced the addition of Swedish drummer George Atlagic (nicknamed "Jolle" among friends) to the group's ranks. According to the band, "George Atlagic stood out from the five candidates, not only for his talent, but also because of his personality and for being a kindred spirit with the band. Jolle is technically a very skillful drummer and his style is greatly in the vein of the former HANOI ROCKS drummers Gyp Casino and Razzle. He also already looked like he was playing in a successful rock band."

HANOI ROCKS this past spring released a new single, "Teenage Revolution"/"Self Destruction Blues". The single is already a collector's item since it includes the original arrangement of "Self Destruction Blues", previously unreleased in Europe by HANOI ROCKS.
