VELVET REVOLVER, ALICE IN CHAINS Joining Forces For Date In 2007 Jones Beach "Summer Concert Series"

Live Nation presents VELVET REVOLVER and ALICE IN CHAINS at the Nikon At Jones Beach venue in Wantagh, New York on Saturday, August 18th.

Other acts scheduled to perform at the venue for their "Summer Concert Series" include:
RUSH (Monday, July 2nd),
POISON, RATT, TRAMP'S WHITE LION (Tuesday, July 24th),
DEF LEPPARD, FOREIGNER, STYX (Tuesday, August 14th),
DREAM THEATER (Saturday, August 25th).

VELVET REVOLVER, ALICE IN CHAINS - Another Date Surfaces For Summer Tour; Re-Evolution Trek Kicks Off Tonight With Benefit For Michael Weiland

The following message has been posted in the "Blog" section of VELVET REVOVER's website:

"Velvet Revolver plays tonight at The Avalon, in Hollywood, CA. The show starts their Re-Evolution tour of US theaters, in support of their upcoming sophomore album Libertad.

Tonight’s show will also be the first concert to benefit Scott Weiland’s newly-formed charity foundation, aimed at helping families of loved ones lost to the disease of addiction. Proceeds from tonight’s inaugural show will go towards supporting Scott’s late brother Michael’s widow and two surviving daughters."

As previously reported, Libertad is out via RCA on July 3rd.

Meanwhile, another date has surfaced for VR's upcoming summer tour with ALICE IN CHAINS. Confirmed dates currently include:

18 - Nikon At Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York
