LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES Comment On Upcoming Bloodstock Open Air Appearance




Headliners LACUNA COIL and IN FLAMES have commented about their upcoming Bloodstock Open Air appearance in August.

In Flames bassist Peter Iwers says that "playing Bloodstock this year is a first time experience for us and it’s hard to know what to expect, so we try to stay as relaxed as possible. We’ll just get there and do our best and hope for a magnificent audience. Having played the UK before we all know that the crowds always rock and we hope to see all the British In Flames fans and their friends at the show. Also it’s going to be a blast playing with such good friends as the guys in DARK TRANQUILLITY, Lacuna Coil, ARCH ENEMY etc."

In Flames are currently in IF Studio in Gothenburg, Sweden doing pre-production/demos for their upcoming album that will be recorded later this year. The band has been working on new material since early May.

Lacuna Coil frontman Andrea Ferro also commented on their headlining appearance on the Friday night at Bloodstock Open Air, he added: “Our last tour in the UK has been a blast and it is about time for us to come back and have a great fuckin time at the Bloodstock Festival! It’s our first appearance and we are really thrilled to see some of the old friends and a lot of new people, we will be ready to rock that stage and we expect the same from you guys, see ya there!!!! “

The band's latest album Karmacode is now becoming one of the fastest selling albums in Europe, they hope to beat the huge success of their 2004 album Comalies that sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

Bloodstock Open Air - No Day Tickets Will Be Released

Bloodstock Open Air (www.bloodstock.uk.com ) is scheduled to take place August 16th - 18th at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England.

Organizers have issued the following update:

"For the past few weeks we have been receiving emails from Bloodstock fans asking if and when day tickets will be released for this years Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival.

We were undecided whether or not to release day tickets as we have capped this year’s attendance at 7000, but due to the large number of tickets already sold for this years Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival, we will NOT be releasing day tickets.

We have always aimed to have a Metal Festival that offers superb bands, great atmosphere and does not cost the earth, with this years festival being held over three days and showcasing some of the BEST metal bands to date we know we have THE Best Metal Festival in the UK!

Due to the low ticket price and huge exposure the festival has been receiving from fans, media and bands alike the tickets have been selling at record levels this YEAR .

If you are still to buy your ticket we urge all fans to act sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment."
