WITHIN TEMPTATION Launch New Tour Website, Digital Single Of 'What Have You Done' To Be Released Next Week

Roadrunner Records has issued the following update:

"WITHIN TEMPTATION wants you to share photos and videos, tour experiences, and talk in-depth about concerts at What Have You Done Now?, their new tour site. Next Tuesday, June 26th, the band will release the digital single of 'What Have You Done' from their July 24th album release, The Heart Of Everything. The U.S. version of the video for 'What Have You Done', featuring Keith Caputo of LIFE OF AGONY, is playing on TV and available for viewing on the Roadrunner Records website here."

WITHIN TEMPTATION Report On FanClubDay 2007

WITHIN TEMPTATION have issued the following update from vocalist Sharon Den Adel, on behalf of the group:

"Friday afternoon we came back from Japan, where we did two club shows, which was a great experience! Those Japanese people rock hard :-). Saturday-night we had the honor to close the Waldrock festival, in Friesland. Most of us crawled into bed around three or four o'clock. Except for Martijn and Jeroen who drove through some glass, from a car accident that had just happened. They had to change a tire in the middle of the night. Believe it or not they were still lucky compared to some other cars who had the same fate and were standing still with four flat tires.

This morning Robert and I were woken up by a wake-up call from Robert's mobile phone. At least that's what we thought... So, we jumped under the shower, had breakfast, brushed our teeth etc. We had just started our drive to Eindhoven, when I asked Robert 'How long is this drive to Eindhoven?'. 'Why?' he replied. 'Well, why do we need to leave at seven o'clock?' 'It's not seven o'clock, it's nine o'clock'. ' Oh my God, you're right it's seven o'clock...

Apparently my mobile phone went of reminding us for an appointment we had in Japan but filled in a wrong date or something.

As I have the same mobile phone and apparently the same taste for ring-tones, mine went off two hours earlier... lol. We drove back and slept another one and half hour... zzz We arrived at the Effenaar at 10.30. This was the first time for us in the new Effenaar. So we took our selves on a short tour, to check out the venue. We had lots of things to sign for the lottery and after that we went through the acoustic songs and preparing the drum-kit as the band-sound. We had not played 'Restless' for a while and this was the first time we played 'Angels' in this way. So that needed some practice as well.

To my surprise 'Ivar de Graaf' and his girlfriend were also present. Our former drummer was asked to present a quiz. So he recorded a few of our songs but they were performed in a different musical style. 'Stand My Ground' became a salsa song, 'Ice Queen' was performed in a country way and so on. Pretty hilarious :-). Contestants had to guess the titles and had to the answers to a lot of diverse questions in order to win some WT stuff.

After a short question round between us and the fans we had a signing session. Next time we will take even more time for it because 600 people don't fit in 45 min. So the 45. min became more than a hour and still we didn't have the time to sign everything, our apologies for that.

After our acoustic set and a short and spontaneous drum performance of 'Silvin' Stephen's son, we said goodbye to Sabina from TSF. We are sorry to see her go and hope that the new ' Sabina' will have the same talent and devotion. 'Sabina' TNX for those two years and the rest of TSF I would like to thank you on behalf of WT for your hard work and time for today, the magazine & internet site this year. TSF-members thanks for your presence, the cards, flowers and all the other gifts and we hope to see soon!

It was also really great to see the members from outside of the Netherlands increasing so rapidly. Tnx for coming all this way to our little country and we hope you to see you all again as well!

WITHIN TEMPTATION Members Discuss US Touring, New Album, Management And More

FYE has issued and interview with WITHIN TEMPTATION's Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt, conducted by Chris Kay. The following is an excerpt from the interview:

Q: Now that you are finally here, what do you think of the US audiences and your first US tour?

Sharon: "Well, we’ve been comparing it a little bit to the Spanish audience and the southern countries in Europe. Because they are always very enthusiastic, even when you hit the first note until the last one everybody is like (she imitates the roar of an enthusiastic crowd here), they are with you the whole time right from the start to finish. Very enthusiastic, in a way they are almost in your face, so enthusiastic and that is really good, really good. Because in the more Northern countries in Europe, it’s more waiting a little bit, they’re more relaxed, then they clap after a few songs, they have to get warmed up first. We expected a little more of that, actually, not this southern hospitality that we have in southern Europe."

WITHIN TEMPTATION Singer Sharon den Adel: "We Start Writing Again In December..."

www.Live-Metal.net have issued a new interview with WITHIN TEMPTATION Singer Sharon den Adel, conducted by Jeff Maki and Jason Price. The following is an excerpt from the interview:

Q: What's next for you after this tour?

A: Well, we got a lot of shows in Europe. We are going to play on England in the academies, which are lots of nice venues to play in. So we're gonna play there like four or five shows and then we go to Germany. We do a tour in Germany and we have a few big shows, as well. Then in Holland, we do an arena with a real orchestra in February, a classical orchestra. And we're gonna play all our songs with a classical orchestra. Also in November, we're gonna play for 8,000 people in Eindoven, which is also in Holland and we're gonna play this java kind of big show with all kinds of things happening. So they're will be a lot of things, then come back here again.

Q: So you're coming back here soon?

A: "I hope so because we just met our booking agency yesterday and they were like, 'Please come back soon again.' And we were like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, but when?' So we're gonna see. So hopefully we will again. It will be on short notice - that's how it works probably in America, I don't know. It goes differently in Europe. They have ticket sales in Europe and it's like six months ahead of when you're really going to play. And America it's like - we announced this tour a month ago. And we're like, 'Nobody's gonna come. Nobody's gonna know. How can I do this?' But there like that's normal in America - 'OK, right.'"

Q: You mentioned playing with the orchestra. How will that transition? How will that work?

A: "It's gonna be different but not that much different because we have an orchestra on tape, because we can't bring the orchestra to events and stuff like that. They're gonna play more or less the real thing, but of course it will be more organic. The sounds are gonna be different, but it's gonna be live. And we'll probably make a little bit different arrangements here and there. It's not the same orchestra we recorded with and we're gonna do some different things also to make it more special, try some things out. Also to give them some more space for their own interpretation."

Q: Could that be released as a live album like what the SCORPIONS or METALLICA did?

A: "I'm not sure. It depends on how it works out. And like I said, we're gonna give them some freedom for their own interpretation and if some songs don't work out then we're gonna skip the song probably. [laughter] But we're not sure how things will work out. But it's not the first time working with a real orchestra. We have done it before in Europe. But to do a whole show with a real orchestra, it is our first time, so it depends on how it's going to look and how it is recorded. We're gonna film everything, of course."

Q: Is there anything else you'd like to add in?

A: "Well, we start writing again in December probably. That's the first time we have days off again, so we'll probably start writing new songs again. We'll see where we are and how fast we can write a new album. I want to write a new album very quickly. But sometimes when you're touring there is no time or no space to sit down and relax and try some things."

Komodo Rock recently reported that the band's November 24th show at the Beursgebouw in Eindhoven, Holland was filmed for an upcoming DVD. The sold out show (8,000 capacity) included guest appearances by Anneke van Giersbergen (AQUA DE ANNIQUE, ex-THE GATHERING) and George Oosthoek (ex-ORPHANAGE). A summer 2008 release is expected.
