Marc De-Vil (AKA Beelzebub) Leaves MYSTIC CIRCLE, Joins GLOOMBALLMannheim, Germany based metallers GLOOMBALL have update their MySpace page with the following update:
"In 2003, when Alen (vocals, guitar) and Astor (drums) first met, they didn't think of forming a band together. Both having the same occupation working in a theatre close to the city of Mannheim, they often talked about music having similar tastes. Astor had a studio project going on at that time, but he was never satisfied with the results. Alen himself wasn't satisfied with the musical direction his former band was heading to.
Once Astor heard a demo of Alen, they had a couple of drinks and a few days later, Astor asked Alen if he would help out as a singer to get the studio project going... Gloomball was born as a two-man-project.
Two months later the first Gloomball demo, Simple Mood Control, was recorded. It has never been released. They contacted several record labels and the responds were positive but they wanted more songs and a complete band.
After having enough song material together they went back to the studio to record the new demo for Embrace The Unknown. Both knew each other better and they knew exactly what direction they wanted to go musically, being that a unique style was created. It's heavy, it's melodic, it's honest and extremely powerful. It's all Gloomball!
The only thing that they had to do was to find talented people who would join the band to set up a live show. In 2007, Paulus who is a long time friend of both Astor and Alen joined the band to play the guitar. Short time afterwards Marc De-Vil, formerly known as Beelzebub, joined Gloomball to play the bass after he decided to leave his band MYSTIC CIRCLE .
Now Gloomball is complete and all of the band members can't wait to get on the stage and perform some great music. No more time to waste cause rest will be history... just Embrace The Unknown!"
