| STONE SOUR To Play Russia Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Don Kaye: STONE SOUR will play its first-ever show in Russia on October 18th, at the RAMP Awards in Moscow. Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor, whose other band SLIPKNOT has never appeared in Russia either, told us the gig is part of Stone Sour's plan to play as many places as possible: "I mean, we're really looking forward to it, and the main thing we wanted to do on this tour cycle was to get to all the places that we didn't get to go to last time. And we've already done that by going to Japan, Russia will be a big one, hopefully get down to do Australia, do some South American shows, do an extended tour of Canada...I mean just, if we want to go somewhere, we're gonna go." The event will precede a series of European dates for the group, most of which will also feature FLYLEAF. Stone Sour has European dates booked through November 9th, after which the band is scheduled to return to the U.S. and join DISTURBED on the Music As A Weapon tour, also with Flyleaf. Stone Sour is touring in support of its second album, Come What(ever) May, which follows up its 2002 self-titled debut. The band is currently on the Family Values tour with KORN, DEFTONES, 10 YEARS and Flyleaf, which pulls into Cleveland, Ohio tonight (Wednesday, September 6th). | |

| STONE SOUR Hits Top Of The Charts STONE SOUR’s hit single 'Through Glass' recently took the #1 spot on the Mainstream and Active Rock Charts, marking the first #1 single in the band's career.
The song bests the #4 charting position the band reached with 'Bother', from their Gold-selling, self-titled debut album.
'Through Glass' is currently #7 on the Modern Rock Chart, while the video was officially added to MTV2. The track is the first single off the band’s latest album, Come What(ever) May, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart when it was released on August 1st. Come What(ever) May moved 80,786 units its first week out, triple what their debut album scanned its first week. The album has sold over 191,000 units to date. The band is currently on the Family Values Tour with KORN, DEFTONES, FLYLEAF and others. This winter they will embark on the Music As A Weapon Tour with DISTURBED. | |
