Late THIN LIZZY Frontman PHIL LYNOTT's Mother Predicts "Bright Future" For STONE CROW Kilkenny Advertiser has issued the following report:
Derry band STONE CROW hit Kilkenny's Zoo Bar on Thursday (July 26th) for one night alongside fellow rockers ARCANE. The band have been praised by PHIL LYNOTT's Mother, Philomena, at a recent memorial show for THIN LIZZY and they are expecting to make a big impact on Kilkenny.
Since they began, Stone Crow have gone from strength to strength; from 'loud' to 'up te the lash!' At first listen, the healthy blend of, balls-to-the-wall, Rock Agus Roll, heavy groove-laden riffs will stop you dead in your tracks and demand your head bang or your feet stomp along!
From the opening vocal melody, you can tell, they are a hard-rockin band, that are not compromised, as so many are, with sub-par singing! Every member of the band brings their own unique style and extensive musical background to the mix, each quietly confident and wholly competent in instrumental assault!
With intricate embellished riffs, twin harmony leads, thunderous, intricate bass lines, pounding, invigorating drum beats, squealing, diving, singing, blistering lead fills and to put the icing on the cake a voice that'll send shivers down your back til you’re trembling on the floor, this is a band that’s rockin hard, enjoying what they’re doing and who won’t be stopped!
Pushing the limits of every venue, every amp, every drum-kit that’s big enough to stand on, covering every inch of ground and caressing you in their hypnotic grasp, Stone Crow won’t stop ‘til the last patrons satisfied!
Recently, at a tribute to Phil Lynott in Dungiven's Gaelic Club with The Wild 1's, the legendary rockers' own mother, Philomena, voiced her appreciation for the band's original material and said they had a bright future ahead of them, and that "they'll put Dungiven on the map."
See what all the fuss is about on Thursday at 9 PM in The Zoo Bar, 40 Parliament Street.
