NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG have issued the following update:

"After nearly three years, the TYGERS OF PAN TANG are ready to roar back into action with new material due later this year. Inspired by their reception at the NWOBHM festival at the Pitz club in Milton Keynes, the band have written nine songs that are ready to demo and two which are work in progress.

"The new album, which has a working title of 'Animal Instinct', sees the band go back to their early roots, playing hard edged rock in the manner of 'Wildcat' and 'Spellbound'.

"To escape the studio, some local gigs in the North East have been arranged at Crook AFC, Newcastle Academy and the Cumby in Heighington for September and October.

"Finally a brand new TYGERS website is to be launched in September which will be updated weekly and bring the fans closer to the band."

TYGERS OF PAN TANG - Final Plans For 2007

"With your support and help, it has been a fabulous last 5 months for Tygers Of Pan Tang, your reaction and support of the EP Back & Beyond as well as the atmosphere you have created at the live shows have enabled the Management Team to really build the profile of the band.

You have done so much without been asked it really is appreciated.

There is a lot still to be concluded in 2007 which include a short tour of Italy in early April, then returning back to the UK for further shows. Details of both these tours will be published shortly on MySpace so keep checking in.

The forthcoming album Animal Instinct is almost complete and it's a cracker, quality hard rock with Tygers riffs and hooks. There are some additional guitar parts to put down but we are definately on track for an April 2008 release date.

At the moment it will again be an internet only release although we have had interest from record companies and distributers but negiotiation is still ongoing and far from complete.

Mixing will be carried out again by Ben Matthews of THUNDER who did such a superb job on the EP.

Pre-orders of Animal Instinct will be made available as from January 2008 on the website and will include 250 special signed and numbered CDs with a few other bits and bobs thrown in to make a real collectors item. Full detail will be on the website from January 10th latest.

Finally we cannot say it enough to our fans but thank you again from Robb, Brian, Craig, Dean and Jack and bring on 2008 its going to be a fantastic year.

TYGERS OF PAN TANG - New Album "Will Take You Back 25 Years To The Glory Days Of British Hard Rock"

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you, 2008 will prove to be an historic year for the Tygers with a heavy touring schedule and new product available. The new album Animal Instinct is almost complete and mixing time has been booked with Ben Matthews for 1 - 7 February. This will give plenty of time to receive the pressings and get them delivered to you by Mid April 2008. I know your all keen to hear the new material and hopefully the Back & Beyond EP will have wet your appetite for more. The album consists of 11 new tracks include the two from the EP and will take you back 25 years to the glory days of British hard rock. The band are very excited with the results and we know you will just love the songs. We know there will be some sceptics out there, but just check it out first, before comment, we want you back onboard with the Tygers and hopefully this product will do just that.

We will be releasing 250 Limited Edition Collectors packages which will be available to pre-order from the website www.tygersofpantang.com as from Saturday 12th January. The Package will consist of the CD signed and individually numbered, you will also receive a numbered VIP pass which will give you an opportunity to be our guest for a day at a show of your choice (subject to availability) and win other prizes throughout the year. We plan to make two draws per month, one for the guest pass and the second for a consolation prize. The draw results will be advertised on the website and MySpace site each month. There will be other small items also included such as badges, Tour flyers etc. This really will become a collectors item due to its very limited run.

As from April the album will be available on general sale via the website, we are looking at the distribution of the CD at the moment and will let you know as soon as anything is confirmed. If you are planning to come and see the Tygers Live the CD will also be available from the merchandise stand.

Management of NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG have issued the following update:

"The Management of Tygers of Pan Tang are delighted to announce that today we have signed contracts with Livewire and Cargo Records for the Worldwide distribution of the new album Animal Instinct. This means that all good music retail stores and online music stores will be promoting and selling the album from April 21st, which has been set as the launch date. We have agreed to start with the UK, Japan, USA and Europe, however there may be some countries that we launch the album to coincide with touring duties. We will keep you fully informed of this strategy so you are aware of availability. The pre-orders will be dispatched one week prior to the official release and we have negotiated 25 further copies for pre-sale to make the run a limited edition of 150. I still have a few copies left so place your order today. To give our loyal fans who have pre-ordered the album further value for money, we are having one of the shows in Italy filmed and I will be giving some edited footage away as part of the package. The footage will be pretty raw and the sound unmixed and with simple artwork, but it will be another great addition to the package. This will only be available on pre-orders.

It has been a fantastic time for the band over the last six months and we hope you the fans (the reason for the bands existence) have enjoyed the progression and have felt very much part of it. It was always the aim to get you close to the band and have your voices heard.
