BELPHEGOR: "We Are Not Satanists! We Are Atheists"; Video Interview Available


www.MetalHead.ro has issued a new interview with Austrian black metallers BELPHEGOR. The following is an excerpt from the chat:

Q: First of all, you had a show cancelled in Romania one or two years ago due to local churches. No you're returning, you're having the show in Romania in October. What are your thoughts about this?

A: "Well, still looking forward to it. It wasn't like we have been forced down by any church or government or anything, it was a lineup problem forcing us to cancel it. But now we are looking forward to do it. We would love to go everywhere, especially to places we've never been before so Romania is one of these places."

Q: Speaking of the new lineup, what about the drummer?

A: "Well, it's an old drummer again, but he's going to play Party.San tomorrow, then he's off again. He's the drummer we have recorded Lucifer Incestus with, he's playing with us here and then tomorrow. I like him, I think he's the best drummer we ever had, Lucifer Incestus is the fastest shit we've ever made, he's just perfect for Belphegor, too bad he is out of the band."

Q: Did you think about replacements?

A: "Yeah, we are going to have a session drummer from the next week on, he's good but he doesn't really fit to Belphegor. Anyway, we don't cancel the shows anymore because of the line-up problems, we were lucky enough to find this asshole, the new one. Don't get me wrong, he's probably fucking great, so no more cancelling because of the lineup problems."
