Mats Levén -
"I Never Wanted To Be A Member" Of THERION
Hall Of Metal spoke to Swedish-based singer Mats Levén (ex-
THERION, KRUX) about a number of topics recently. A few excerpts from the chat found
here follow:
Hall Of Metal: Which was your situation inside Therion since you joined them until Gothic Kabbalah? I mean, did you really felt part of the group or you were simply treated as a hired musician or something like that?
Levén: "I never wanted to be a member, they did ask me in 2004 though. Still, I was treated great and was also invited to write songs for Gothic Kabbalah."
Hall Of Metal: Moving to a different subject, what is the future of Mats Levén? Do you intend to concentrate on something in particular or you will continue participating in different projects as you lately do? What is going to be the next thing we can hear from you?
Levén: "I’m providing vocals for Israeli project AMASEFFER, playing with Krux and also writing songs for S&M (mine and Snowy Shaw’s band). Apart from that I’m writing my own songs and for other artists."
Hall Of Metal: Talking about dreams and things to do, I’m sure you have any aspiration or personal challenge you have not fulfilled yet and you can confess. Perhaps singing with someone in particular or any special project?
Levén: "I’d like to record with BJÖRK."
