[color=olive]Cold Chisel [color:fbe1=olive:fbe1]"DVD Live RockPalast 82"After eight years of traversing the dusty roads and beer barns of Australia, Cold Chisel made their first foray into Europe in November 1982.
The twenty one date tour included shows in France, Denmark, Germany and the UK, with two sold out gigs at London’s Marquee Club.
On the 3rd of December the band performed in front of a live audience in Hamburg’s Markthalle which was recorded for the German TV show Rockpalast. A one hour version was broadcast across Germany and much of Europe.
For the very first time the full performance will be available on DVD through Warner Vision. The release date is the 26th May 2007.

Cold Chisel invades Europe
In 1982 Cold Chisel released their fourth studio album
“Circus Animals”, in Europe on Polydor Records. Prior to that their previous studio efforts
,“Cold Chisel”, “Breakfast at Sweethearts”, “Swingshift”and
“East”had all been released on the German independent label, Line Records.
In November of 1982 the band kicked off their first ever tour of Europe with headline shows in Paris, London, Germany, Holland, Denmark and a number of dates in England with UK hard rock stayers, Slade. This included two nights at the Hammersmith Odeon. The band’s headline shows at London’s famous Marquee club were completely sold out, with demand so strong that the fans were lined all the way down Wardour street.
On the 3rd December the German national television show Rockpalast, filmed a one hour live special from the Markhalle in Hamburg which was broadcast across Germany and much of Europe.
In May/June of 1983 the band once again returned to Europe this time supporting ex Family singer Roger Chapman and his band on a 25 date tour of German festivals and concert halls.
