HYDROGYN - New Album Slated For Spring 2008 Release

Hydrogyn is entering the final stages of the writing process for the new CD that is slated for spring release.

"The writing is going great and the songs are shaping up to be very strong and a big growth from Bombshell," says vocalist Julie enthusiastically about the new material.

With writing finishing up the band is also getting ready to go back to Europe to finish up the last live dates of 2007 before entering the studio in December and January to record the yet as untitled new CD.

Hydrogyn has also picked up The Paramour Group for management and its agency group.

"We found a very strong bond with Dean at Paramour and feel good about the enthusiasm shown us by him and look forward to very busy 08 because of this alliance" states guitarist Jeff Westlake.

Westlake went on to say that the calendar of events for the band has been busy since signing with Paramour and that it shows no sign of letting up.

Along the way the past few months the band has landed a new cymbal endorsement with Saluda Cymbals out of South Carolina (www.saludacymbals.com ) and Julie now wears clothing by Backstage out of Grenoble, France for her live shows.

Look for new things on the band website (www.hydrogyn.com ) and MySpace in the very near future from a new DVD to new merch over the next couple months.

"The band is getting ready to enter the studio Tuesday, January 8th to start recording the new CD scheduled for a May release. The band had a great 2007 and is looking forward to an even bigger and better 2008.

"We also want to report that the new CD will be coming out via a new label. That information will be revealed later on this month as well.

"The band would also like to clarify the lineup for this CD and touring in 2008. The band will consist of Julie [Westlake, vocals] (of course), Chris Sammons on bass and vocals, Josh Kitchen on drums, Jeff Westlake on guitar and for the studio Andy Caudill will be used on keyboards. Craig Goldy [DIO] is no longer with the band and did not as many now know take part in the European tour as well. With Craig's commitments that were already laid out it was an impossible road to navigate. Craig is busy touring and working with Ronnie James Dio, as he has reported for 2008.

"The new CD is expected to be released sometime in May of this year with recording being finished in February. New tour dates are also being compiled now and will be announced around the completion of the CD in February as well."
