STORMZONE To Release New Album In May; STEVE GRIMETT BAND, BRITNY FOX Join Band On Bill For Z Rock 08 Fest




Irish metallers STORMZONE have contacted BW&BK with the following update:

The Z Rock 2008 festivla line up is almost complete and joining Stormzone onstage in The Asylum, Birmingham, England on May 17th
so far are BONFIRE, SHY, VON GROOVE, STEVE GRIMETT BAND and BRITNY FOX. The billing is shaping up to be one of the best and most diverse seen in Britain for years and will be completed shortly with the announcement of at least two other major acts!

May will also see the follow up to the Stormzone debut album Caught In The Act, with recording taking place in Dublin, Ireland in December and January. Tentatively titled The Secret Gateway it will feature 12 songs embracing the classic style adopted on the band's debut CD but also featuring a healthy heavier and darker side incorporating the addition of a second guitarist, an element making the current Stormzone live shows full of power and entertainment. Artwork for the second album is being handled once again by legendary artist Rodney Matthews (PRAYING MANTIS, THIN LIZZY, DIAMOND HEAD, MAGNUM, etc.).

Z Rock 08 Expands Two Two-Night Event; "Major" Headline Act To Be Announced

Z Rock 08 festival organizers have issued the following update:

"It has been decided that we will push the boat out for next year's Z Rock 08 show and go for a 2 day event, the dates will be May 16th and 17th. We have already had the verbal "OK" for a major act to headline on May 16th and hope to have info for you ASAP re. who it is and ticket details.

We cannot stress how important advance ticket sales are, and we appeal to to everyone to make the effort to purchase their tickets well ahead of the show. If this show fails to break even it will be the last ever Z Rock, sorry but these are the facts.
