NEGATIVE - New DVD Details Revealed




Finland's NEGATIVE have issued the following update:

"Negative's double-disc DVD, In The Eye Of The Hurricane, will be released in Finland on January 26th (Hype Records Oy). Included on the discs is a full-length NGT show filmed at Pakkahuone, Tampere on December 2006, plus over three hours worth of material from the last 10 years, including a new interview, photogalleries, promovideos, fan photos, Jonne's liner notes in the booklet, and a documentary taking you to studios, hotelrooms, backstages etc., all the places the audience usually doesn't get to see. For those living outside of Finland, you can order the DVD from Record Shop X, they support Paypal and credit card payments, fast deliveries only 2,50 worldwide! The DVD is not region-coded.

Negative will play a show and sign autographs on the release day at Ideapark, Lempäälä, starting at 3 PM."

Finnish hard/glam rockers NEGATIVE have topped the Music DVD chart in their home country with their new release, "In the Eye of the Hurricane". Included on the discs is a full-length NEGATIVE show filmed at Pakkahuone in Tampere, Finland in December 2006, plus over three hours' worth of material from the last 10 years, including a new interview, photo galleries, promo videos, fan photos, lead singer Jonne Aaron's liner notes, and a behind-the-scenes documentary.

NEGATIVE recently parted ways with its longtime guitarist Sir Christus (real name: Jukka Kristian Mikkonen). The band will start recording its fourth album as a five-piece.

Commented Jonne Aaron: "We decided that it's best to continue without Sir Christus. This is not a hasty decision; we've talked about this many times and this is really the best thing for all of us. There's no hard feelings on either side."

He continued, "It's just like any long-lasting relationship — people can grow apart and end up wanting different things. NEGATIVE will, of course, keep going on, no doubt about that. This will not affect our future plans."

NEGATIVE will start the recording sessions for the new CD in February with producer Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, CHILDREN OF BODOM).

"We feel very confident about the new songs, and the mood inside the band is relaxed and relieved," said Jonne. "We're concentrating 100% on the new album now, and we'll bring in the new guitarist on the gigs following the release of our new record."
