| ils sont de Derby, leur métal est moderne et mélodique ... : http://www.myspace.com/ng26Derby metallers NG26 play metal. No they don't play any variation of it, they're not metalcore, they don't play Death Metal, they're not a power metal band nor a prog metal band. They're just a metal band, you know the kind of band that Rob Halford would mean when he says Judas Priest play Heavy Metal. That's exactly what NG26 do. It sounds so... wrong. Unusual is certainly one word to describe it. In an age when metal has fractured and schismed into any number of sub genres (and in some case sub-sub genres!), these boys just pick things up and churn out some disgustingly brutal heavy metal. The guitars are huge, heavy and loud, the drums kick like they should, it's great. In lots of ways it reminds me of everything that I've come to be disappointed in with metal today, so it's awesome to hear a band like this, and their debut to boot. There's not a growl in sight, you can understand every single god damn word, the guitars sing in the way only metal makes them. Yes I like this, and as an album it's superb, as a debut it's unreal. With 'Break Away' NG26 are perhaps taking the first steps in driving metal back to it's roots. It's the beauty of Megadeth and Judas Priest all over again, but it's new, and sounds like it is. This album doesn't contain a bad track. One band that you simply must keep an eye on....."komodorock.com"... "This is quite simply one of the best debut albums that I've ever heard from an unsigned metal band" - Insomnia Magazine "'Break Away' is one hell of a debut album, from one hell of a set of musicians! I might even go so far as to say this is just what modern metal needs right now." - Bubblegum Sluts Magazine "Heavy Rock with a metal edge in a groove driven yet melodic intimacy." - cdbaby.com | |
