| Report: MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy Still Rocking On Two New Albums Billboard ( www.billboard.com ) has issued the following report from Wes Orshoski: Almost two years removed from a flurry of rumors of declining health, MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister is enthusiastically putting to rest any lingering questions of his vitality with a pair of new albums. Kilmister, who turned 60 last December, recently issued Kiss Of Death, the 23rd album from his enduring metal act Motörhead, as well as the the debut disc from his rockabilly trio, THE HEAD CAT, Fool's Paradise. Among the 13 tracks on Kiss Of Death is the timely 'God Was Never On Your Side', featuring friend C.C. Deville of POISON on guitar. "It's a mess," Kilmister tells Billboard.com, surveying the strife in Europe and in the Middle East. "You have priests on both sides, blessing tanks, ya know, 'Thou shall not kill' and God is always on their side, but then you go and fight each other and get killed - and it doesn't really matter, right?" Featuring the likes of BUDDY HOLLY's 'Peggy Sue Got Married' and JOHNNY CASH's 'Big River'" the much more sedate Fool's Paradise is Kilmister's tribute to the songs that he says gave rise to his life in music. Also including throaty covers of songs penned by Carl Perkins and the Eddie Cochran-associated 'Cut Across Shorty', the disc features STRAY CATS alumnus Slim Jim Phantom on drums and Danny B. Harvey on guitar, bass and keyboards. "Without those songs, there wouldn't be any Motörhead," says Kilmister, who sings and plays acoustic guitar and harmonica on Fool's Paradise. "Those are my influences right there. Heavy metal is what Eddie Cochran would be doing now if he was still around." Kilmister had a scare less than two years ago when doctors in Hollywood recommended that part of an infected foot be amputated. Doctors in the U.K. were able to save the foot and squash the infection, but not before rumors touching on the grave circulated on the web. "You can't help thinking about [your mortality] now and again, but that's only now and again," he says. "As long as I can walk around and move my arms and legs, I'll be around. If I have to stop, then I'll stop. Until then, you'll be seeing me." | |

| MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy: "I Like Americans, Apart From The Government" Pitch Weekly ( www.pitch.com ) has issued the following report from Saby Reyes-Kulkarni: Though the thought of waking up Lemmy Kilmister to do an interview might seem like a scary proposition (1 PM may as well be dawn to Lemmy), the Pitch was almost shocked by his friendly, easygoing manner. We caught up with the legendary MOTÖRHEAD frontman at home in Los Angeles, readying for this weekend's Freaker's Ball and a subsequent European tour. The Pitch: L.A. seems too fake for you. What do you get out of being there? Kilmister: "It isn't fake. There's a lot of really talented people here, too, don't forget. And anyway, home is in your head. You live inside your head. If you ain't comfortable there, it doesn't matter where you live. And if you are comfortable there, it doesn't matter where you live. So I'm quite happy. I've made a lot of really good friends in the States. I like Americans, apart from the government. I'm having a good time over here, so why shouldn't I live in L.A? It's no worse than anywhere else. There's a lot more fakes in New York, I think, because of that fuckin' artistic scene. All them wine-and-cheese parties in the afternoons. Painful." The Pitch: How many of those have you been invited to? Kilmister: "Only one. [Laughs] My God, have you heard the way these people talk? Do they study at some sort of college for this shit?" The Pitch: You just have to pray they have some good booze and some good food to stuff in your pockets to take home. Kilmister: "[Laughing] Pockets full of cheese biscuits and leggin' it for the door!" T he Pitch: You mentioned the U.S. government. Kilmister: "I don't like any government, truly. I hate all politicians just by definition. If somebody wants to be a politician, there's already a serious question mark next to them. Imagine wanting to kiss other people's babies! Fuckin' hell, it's hard enough kissing your own, you know! You have to be two-faced. That's the first requirement. In case the party changes its stance on something, you gotta be able to turn straight around 180 degrees and lie." The Pitch: And say, 'I always felt that way'. Kilmister: "Yeah — 'I always thought they were cunts!' [Laughs]" The Pitch: What's your take on 9/11? Kilmister: "September 11th was George Bush's Reichstag fire. It's exactly the same. Politician seizes disaster and takes away civil liberties in the name of freedom. It's just crap. The American people are no safer than they were before. It's just difficult to get on a plane." | |

| MOTÖRHEAD Confirmed To Headline Germany's Earthshaker Fest MOTÖRHEAD are confirmed as the headliner for next year's Earthshaker Fest, which scheduled to take place July 19-21, 2007 in Kreuth, Germany. More acts will be announced soon. LIMITED EDITION copies of BW&BK #100 are available NOW with an EXTREMELY RARE reprint of BW&BK #1 that was originally issued in 1994!! MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister actually had a hand in creating the special cover (click left)! BW&BK #100 is available at selected retailers NOW or by contacting us direct - $9.99 (including shipping) via PayPal at sales@bravewords.com. “It’s just more recent,” Lemmy addresses their new album, Kiss Of Death. “It’s a Motörhead album, you know what I mean? It’s not that different. There are a couple of surprises on it, like guests and things. The title - that was one of Phil’s. It was good enough, a good catch phrase there. I don’t know, I don’t define these records; I let them stand on their own, on the music. I think the more you analyze music, you kill it.” | |
