A sample of a new MÖTLEY CRÜE track, 'The Saints Of Los Angeles', has been posted at YouTube.

As previously reported by drummer Tommy Lee: James Michael, who is the vocalist of Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx's SIXX: A.M. musical project, has been "locked away in the studio for the last couple months producing the new Mötley Crüe record," the first full-length recording by the original lineup in more than a decade.

According to James, "it is truly incredible! The songs are stellar and the band is at the top of their game, rocking harder than ever. I get chills every morning when I step into the studio and hear playback on what we did the night before. I am so proud of this record. You're going to FUCKING LOVE IT!"

On April 15th, all four original members of America's most notorious rock band Mötley Crüe will make a colossal announcement in Los Angeles with location to be determined. This will be by far the biggest music announcement of the year!

A 30-second snippet of a new MÖTLEY CRÜE song called "Saints of Los Angeles" surfaced online last week, with the clip available at YouTube and other sites. The track will most likely appear on "The Dirt", due out on July 8. The CD will be the first all-new CRÜE album since 2000 and the first in more than a decade to feature all four original members. The title of the record is taken from the band's 2002 memoir of the same name. A single is expected to arrive at radio stations sometime within the next few weeks.

MÖTLEY CRÜE – “A Typical Successful Mötley Crüe Record”

Ready to embark upon (and of course headline) Crüe Fest, MÖTLEY CRÜE, will of course be packing with their bad selves a brand-new studio record called Saints Of Los Angeles.

“Well, it’s done; it’s under lock and key,” explained Nikki Sixx to BW&BK in a conference call, with respect to the new album. “It’s tracked, printed, and in the vault. It’s funny, because, I was having a conversation with some of the guys in GREEN DAY last night, and we were talking about how it used to be that when we made music, we would call up our friends and give them a CD or cassette, and we were so excited about our music. And me and Mick are sitting here looking at our record and we can’t share it with anybody. Because it gets out so fast, and just spreads like wildfire. It’s sort of the same thing we were talking about with our live show. So it’s just like, keep it under wraps for as long as possible.’

“It’s a very diverse album,” adds Mick Mars. “It goes from radio-friendly to full-on like shred, kicking butt. It does all sorts of stuff, all types of music… Mötley music of course (laughs), and I think it’s a great album. Also its modern and hip-sounding. It’s old school Mötley, but modern. It’ doesn’t sound 1908s (laughs).”

Nikki: “Yeah, anybody I played it too, they’ve gone well, it’s like Mötley is back! But it doesn’t sound dated. It sounds like Mötley is back but it doesn’t sound dated. I don’t know what that means, but the guitar tones are heavy, the drums are thick, the bass is aggressive, the vocals are right up front. The songs are Mötley Crüe songs, the lyrics are good. Some are funny, some are serious, some are just in your face. It’s like Mick was saying, it is diverse, but it’s like a typical successful Mötley Crüe record, where it’s got a lot of different things going on through the record.”

"The members of Mötley Crüe have filed yet another lawsuit against their management, once again claiming they're the victims of a major money and power grab.

In the lawsuit, filed today in LA County Superior Court, band members say manager Burt Stein and his management companies were supposed to watch their back - but instead took money and made backroom deals without their permission in order to cash in on the band's popularity.

If this sounds familiar, it is. Last year the band sued another manager, essentially alleging the same thing. That case was settled.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's new album Saints Of Los Angeles has entered the official Swedish Albums Charts at #5. The band earned themselves an impressive top 5 debut on the Billboard chart with Saints Of Los Angeles, their first new album featuring the original lineup in over a decade and their highest since 1997s Generation Swine.

Saints of Los Angeles is loosely based on the band’s bestselling book, The Dirt, which is a must-read rock and roll tome of which Ray Hogan, San Antonio Express-News said, “The Dirt might be the wildest rock ‘n’ roll story ever told. It’s not only remarkable that the group’s four members are alive to recount -and actually remember- their sordid history, but disturbingly appropriate that they do so unrelentingly...
