2008 Download Festival - FIREWIND Confirmed; Band Announce UK Headlining Dates

FIREWIND are the latest act confirmed for UK's Download Festival scheduled for Friday, June 13th - Sunday, June 15th at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England.

A message at the band's site reads:

"After a storming European tour with KAMELOT, the Greek metal phenomenon Firewind, will be making their much anticipated return to the UK this summer when they perform at this years Download Festival on Friday, June 13th at Donington Park.

Gus G comments on the bands inclusion at the festival: “We're very excited about being confirmed for Download Festival! It's simply THE premier rock / metal festival of Europe and we're damn proud to be a part of it! Expect a show full of Fire and Fury!!”

In addition to Download Firewind have confirmed that they will be back in the UK for a full headlining tour in September.

Gus G continues: ”It's no secret that in the UK we have the most loyal and hardcore Firewind fans. And we're extremely happy to announce our first extensive UK headline tour which includes 9 shows in England, Scotland and Ireland, for the first time!.”
