GOTTHARD Too Hot For SingStar

"Because there has been explicit content discovered in it, the GOTTHARD clip for the song 'Lift U Up' had to be shortened for the upcoming new issue of cult karaoke game SingStar!

The censored part is a four second scene, in which you can see a sexy woman smoking a cigarette.

But who cares? Everyone who wants to be really good in singing 'Lift U Up' during the next karaoke contest, has to look at the lyrics and not at the clip anyway. Besides that, the song itself is truly hot enough!

For all who want to practise already for the upcoming SingStar edition: take good care during the European Soccer Championship! 'Lift U Up' will be the official fan song of the Swiss National Team, dressed up as an ultimate "Swiss Team Version" remixed by Mousse T. and with the complete National Team as a choir.

The SingStar edition with the motto-title "Amped" will be released this August via Sony Computer Entertainment and includes, next to Gotthard, songs by bands such as AUDIOSLAVE, BAD RELIGION, GUNS ´N´ROSES, BLINK 182, NIRVANA, JUDAS PRIEST, MÖTLEY CRÜE, IGGY POP, FOO FIGHTERS and ZZ TOP."

GOTTHARD - 'Lift U Up' Goes Public Viewing During European Soccer Championship

GOTTHARD's Soccer Championship fan song 'Lift U Up' (Swiss Team Version) will be used as a trailer during the public viewing parties in Dortmund. The parties will take place on Dortmund's Friedensplatz. All matches will be broadcasted on a 64qm screen. Check the dates here.

Next to the public viewing there will be a band contest taking place. Sixteen bands from Dortmund or the area around will compete in front of a jury as well as the audience. The best one will will 5.000 euros in the end. The contest runs under the name "Dormund Is Searching For The Superband" and will start on June 6th with an opening party including well-known artists such as SASH, COSMO KLEIN and the newcoming act ZOOKEE. During a great final on June 28th the winning band will play on an open-air together with EMPTY TRASH, 4LYN and a secret headlining act!

In other news, Gotthard are nominated to become the ultimate UEFA song for the European Soccer Championship 2008. Swiss TV station DRS3 and UEFA are searching for the song that will be played in all Swiss stadiums as the very last song before the matches begin.
