YES/ASIA Guitarist Schedules Date In Quebec

One of rock music’s most expressive and defining guitar players, STEVE HOWE has been a model and inspiration for other musicians and guitarists for over 35 years. Apart from his career with YES, ASIA and GTR, he also has an impressive number of solo albums to his credit. His show at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Theatre will feature Howe in a rare and immediate solo guitar concert.
Enormously successful, YES sold millions of albums, filled stadiums worldwide (even broke
LED ZEPPELIN’s record for most sell-out concerts at Madison Square Gardens) and consistently reached the Top 5 of music charts worldwide since the 1970s. Today, YES is still one of rock’s definitive progressive rock bands and remain huge because they've always attracted younger listeners while maintaining their existing, and now older, fan base. Howe’s guitar style would ‘shape the voice of the era’.
Howe’s success did not stop when he left YES. Co-founder of progressive rock supergroup, ASIA, Howe attained his first #1 Billboard album and continued a life filled with worldwide mega tours, hit singles and albums.
In between, worldwide tours and recording gold and platinum albums, Howe recorded many solo albums, the most recent being Spectrum, released on InsideOut Music last year.
Inspiring legions with his distinctive sound and approach, Howe was inducted into Guitar Player Magazine’s ‘Hall of Fame’ in 1981 after five consecutive years of achieving ‘Best Overall Guitarist’ from it’s annual reader poll. His work with both acoustic and electric guitars has set many markers to players and listeners alike.
