MÖTLEY CRÜE Drummer Tommy Lee - "We're Definitely Coming (To Australia)" According to Sydney radio station
Triple M,
MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee has told Wil & Lehmo the band are "definitely coming" to Australia soon.
"I just saw a rough itinerary but I don't want to quote any dates just in case they shift around but we're definitely coming there," he revealed.
Off the back of The Saints of Los Angeles, their first album in eight years, the infamous hard rock band are presently playing across the US on their Cruefest tour, a mini-festival that features their favourite bands
BUCKCHERRY, PAPA ROACH, TRAPT and Sixx's side-project
SIXX: A.M supporting.
As Lee tells it, it's a concept the band are looking at bringing down under and beyond.
"I think what we're going to do when we head over to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan is bring maybe one or two bands [with us] - it might be Buckcherry or Papa Roach. Then what we wanted to do in each country was support the local talent there so maybe have three Australian bands and so on."
As for getting back into life on the road,
Tommy's loving it.
"I'm pretty hyper. Other than my two beautiful kids, I live for this, man. I was put on this planet to play music and drums and to basically raise hell everywhere I go. It's been a pretty awesome ride and I'm sure it'll be quite some time before you see me doing yoga and drinking bottled water backstage."
