BALTIMOORE To Release New Album In October


According to RockDetector.com, Swedish rockers BALTIMOORE are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their tenth album, to be titled X, which is due for release in October. The album will be released via BLP Music, the label set up by Baltimoore vocalist/band leader Björn Lodin, which saw the band's latest offering, Kaleidoscope, released in April 2006.

X marks the return to the band of original lead guitarist Thomas Larsson (GLENN HUGHES) who has previously performed on four Baltimoore albums since the bands formation in the late 1980s. "Thomas Larsson's return to the band should, with his unique playing, make a lot of guitar-nerds happy!" says Lodin. "He is replacing Stefan Bergström who had other commitments. We wish Stefan the best of luck with his future ventures."

Baltimoore will also commence a two month tour on October 27th to promote the new release with the emphasis on bringing the music back the people with a very special event tied in with the tour (more information on this coming soon). On the pending tour Lodin says: "We're finally getting our arses in to gear and putting a show together for the road. It's been a long wait for us and we are very exited about playing live with the new material."

BALTIMOORE Complete Recording New Record; Mixing Starts Today

Björn Lodin, singer for Swedish rockers BALTIMOORE, has posted the following message at the band's website:

"Now we're done recording and I'm very happy with what we have, mixing starts today (September 18th)! This album feature Thomas Larsson (GLENN HUGHES) on lead guitar and all you guitar nerds out there (myself included) are in for a treat. As previously reported, Baltimoore are looking for a new guitar player to replace Thomas Larsson who left the band recently. The band have set an April 15th release date for their as-yet-untitled new album

BALTIMOORE Frontman Releases New Music To Radio

Swedish rockers BALTIMOORE have issued the following update from frontman Björn Lodin:

"(Yesterday) I released another song in Swedish - for radio only! It's called 'Det Blir Bättre Sen', and is taken from my first Swedish album, that I've been working on for a few years.

This is the second song released for radio. The first track was 'Får Man Inte Bli Förbannad?'.

MOZKOVITCH Inks Deal With BALTIMOORE Singer's New Label, BLP Music

BALTIMOORE singer Björn Lodin has announced that Swedish rockers MOZKOVITCH, are the first act to be signed to his label - BLP Music. Comments Lodin: "This is the best band I've heard in ages! We will start recording the debut album right away and have a release later this spring. Stay tuned for a kick ass album!!"

BALTIMOORE Hard Rock Cafe Live DVD Sample Available

Swedish rockers BALTIMOORE have issued the following update:
"The last concert from Hard Rock Cafe, Stockholm on the 17th of December, 2006 - will be out for sale on DVD shortly - from our shop only!! The DVD will also include an interview with the band plus some earlier videos. The interview is in Swedish, but will have English subtitles."

BALTIMOORE Set Release Date For New DVD

Sweden's BALTIMOORE have posted the following message at their website:

"Release date for the DVD is set for April 12th. The disc contains the last concert from the 2006 Swedish tour, at Hard Rock Cafe, Stockholm. There is also an indepth interview with the band plus videos for 'Wellaway' and 'Give Me What You've Got'.

BALTIMOORE Cancel Sweden Rock Festival Appearance

Singer Björn Lodin, from Swedish rockers BALTIMOORE, has issued the following update:

"Sweden Rock Festival gig cancelled!

A coughing and snoddy head, prevents us from playing at SRF, on Wednesday. I've dragged this cold around for a week now and it's slowly getting better... Anyway, I'm glad to announce that MOZKOVITCH is filling the gap for us, since they're the second best thing:-)! 7 PM - Gibson tent.

No more shows are planned for Baltimoore at this stage.
