PARAGON - Drum Tracks Finished; Bass Recordings Delayed


PARAGON bassist Jan Bünning has posted the following at the band's official website:

"Drums are done now but we have to postpone the bass recordings a little bit as we our engineer Steve has some technical difficulties. Anyway - I will start to record the bass tracks on September 18/19.

But that's not the most important issue today: Tonight our band founder, main songwriter, guitarist and friend - Martin (Christian) - will marry his girlfriend! So if anybody is interested in drinking some beers with us just take a look to the Ballroom Hamburg tonight as there will be a big party as well as a big live session with us and some friends!

PARAGON - Back In Rehearsal-Mode

PARAGON bassist Jan Bünning has posted the following at the band's official website:

"Long time no news because one of the hard disks of my computer crashed. I will never buy a ++++++-Hard disk again, they really suck! Anyhow - for now it works again and I have some news to write down. First some bad stuff: I guess You now already know for a longer time but Ragnarok Scotland is also cancelled as the it seems the ticket sales were not as good as expected. It's really a pity as it would have been our Scotland debut, we were really looking forward for it and the other Ragnarok, Norway was also cancelled a while ago. Next time we watch out when somebody asks us to play a Ragnarok Festival...

After a little Paragon break we will start to rehearse again tomorrow as Bushi (singer Andreas Babuschkin) still has to practice some of the new songs he has to record soon. Most of the basics are done and only some leads and clean guitar parts are missing. At present Steve and Arne of Qui-Media are cutting all drum, bass and guitar tracks to get the best results as we recorded tons of tracks for each song.

Some people were also wondering about the webpage relaunch. I already had a sketch ready a few month ago but after looking at it for a while I was not very satisfied with it anymore and I started to collect new ideas again. I recently spoke the Dirk Illing of X-Maniac-Design about the artwork he will do for our new album and I found out he really had the same in mind for the cover-art as I had for the webpage. So I will do a new sketch very soon and then finally launch the page before the end of the year. There will of course be new and more sketches as well as some some new downloads. We also finally found a new booking company but this are some news for the next time!"

PARAGON Introduce New Bassist

German power metallers PARAGON have updated their MySpace page to reveal their current lineup, which introduces the band's replacement for bassist Jan Bünning, who lef the band due to "musical differences".

The current Paragon lineup includes:
Andreas Babuschkin (vocals),
Martin Christian (guitars backing vox),
Günny "Luigi" Kruse (guitars, backing vox),
Dirk Seifert (bass),
Christian Gripp (drums).

Paragon's new album, Forgotten Prophecies, will be released in June.
