DRAGON Reissues Due Out Via Metal Mind Metal Mind Productions presents remastered editions of two albums by the pioneers of death metal in Poland –
DRAGON. Horde Of Gog from 1988 and Sacrifice from 1991 will be available again in a new digipak edition, digitally remastered using 24-bit process, each limited to numerated 2000 copies.
An excerpt from a Metal Mind press release reads as follows:
Horde Of Gog - the debut full-length album was originally released in 1988. Instead of a "romantic" intro, typical for all metal albums at that time, the album started off with a hurricane of Bomba's drums, out of which the raging tempo of "Kap?ani Zdrady" emerged. This was followed by a true thrash metal frenzy, interrupted only by a subtle guitar miniature called "Cervezza", which featured a brilliant guitar solo by Paj?k. New edition of the album includes 9 bonus tracks taken from the Polish language version of the LP.
Sacrifice was Dragon's fourth full-length album released in 1991. The band's music underwent some minor changes: "We tried to concentrate the material around some clearly displayed motives. The tracks are not open (as they were on 'Fallen Angel' and 'Scream Of Death') but rather condensed, which made them more communicative. We didn't want to create music for an elite group of fans" - said Jarek Gronowski when commenting the release of the album. Along with a simpler construction of the tracks, the album was also unique because of the subtle acoustic 'Etudes' which glued the material together.
The release date for both titles is scheduled for 13th October 2008 in Europe and 25th November in USA (via MVD).
