RUSH - CD/DVD Edition Of Retrospective 3 To Surface

Amazon also has listed a Retrospective 3 CD/DVD version, containing a CD plus a bonus DVD.
There are no details regarding the contents of this bonus DVD at this time.
Confirming earlier rumors that Rush are concluding their contract with Atlantic Records with the release of a compilation album, Amazon.com recently announced Retrospective 3 will be released December 9, 2008.
Although the tracklist is still unannounced, it is rumored that besides favorites from 1989's Presto through 2007's Snakes & Arrows, the album will also include unreleased live tracks. Although the album art is still a mystery, the album's title implies it may follow the theme created by the first two Retrospective albums released by Mercury Records in 1997, later remastered and reissued as the Gold 2cd set in 2006.
Retrospective 3 will fulfill the band's obligation to the label. Although denied by a spokesman for Rush in a statement to Classic Rock magazine, confirmation of this rumor lends credence to additional rumors that the band is negotiating a future contract with Rounder Records, who released the R30 DVD in 2005.
