MACHINE MEN - "The New Album Will Be Heavier And Faster Than The Last One"


Finnish metallers MACHINE MEN have entered the studio to record the follow up to their Century Media Records debut Elegies. The single 'Falling' from the album Elegies went straight to the Top Five in Finland and the band successfully toured with SONATA ARCTICA in Europe (not to mention high profile shows at the big European summer festivals like Wacken, Graspop and Earthshaker). The new album will be called The Shadow Gallery, scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records in January 2007.

Vocalist Antony checks in from Fantom Studio (ROTTEN SOUND, NEGATIVE) in Tampere, Finland: “We are in the studio since 3 weeks and the songs sound good and very powerful! And we are in schedule 'cos we can record 24 hours a day if we want. Of course, we also have to sleep sometime ;-). The new album will be heavier and faster than the last one, but still melodic. And a good thing is - all the songs work live very well. Can't wait for the moment when I hear all the songs mixed and the feeling of intoxication after that.”

MACHINE MEN Post New Music Online; New Album Due In February

Finnish metallers MACHINE MEN have updated their MySpace page to include their new track, 'Circus Of Fools'. Check it out at this location.

Although it has previously been announced that the band's new album would be titled The Shadow Gallery, it appears the album will in fact be titled Circus Of Fools.

The effort is due out through Century Media in February. Stay tuned for further updates.

MACHINE MEN Finish Shooting Video For 'No Talk Without The Giant'

Finland's MACHINE MEN finished shooting a video for the song 'No Talk Without The Giant' on December 17th. The song is taken from the upcoming album Circus Of Fools, in stores February, 2007.

Here are the exact release dates:

Finland: Wednesday, February 14th
Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Benelux: Friday, February 16th
UK/France/Spain/Denmark/Norway/rest of Europe: Monday, February 19th
Sweden/Hungary: Wednesday, February 21st
Italy: Friday, February 23rd

Fans in Finland will get a first appetizer with the 'No Talk Without The Giant' single, which is going to be released on January 17th. The single will include two non-album bonus tracks.

Vocalist Antony comments on the video shoot: "The other guys woke up 3 AM on Sunday morning – I didn’t sleep at all ‘cos I was on the road with some Satanic Christmas band. I sat 2 hours in a train and the guys drove 300 km from our hellish hometown Suolahti to Helsinki. The shooting place was a really big and old train hall – really cool and cruel place. The video will be for the punkrockheavy single song 'No Talk Without The Giant' and I really can’t wait to see it. I think my neck is broken ‘cos we banged our heads about 10 hours and we really hope you’ll enjoy the video and Merry Christmas – eat well! HoHoHo!“

The video will be premiered shortly before the single release on the band’s MySpace page, where you can already pre-listen to the album’s title track and watch a video from a Finnish TV show for the last album’s single 'Falling' that entered Finnish charts at #4.

'No Talk Without The Giant' is lifted from the band's upcoming album, Circus Of Fools, out via Century Media on the following street dates: Finland: Wednesday, February 14th, 2007, Germany / Austria / Switzerland / Benelux: Friday, February 16th, 2007, UK / France / Spain / Denmark / Norway / Rest Of Europe: Monday, February 19th, 2007, Sweden / Hungary: Wednesday, February 21st, 2007, Itay: Friday, February 23rd, 2007.

On January 17th, 'No Talk Without The Giant' was released as a Finland-only single including two non-album bonus tracks.
