New Interview With MÖTLEY CRÜE Guitarist Mick Mars Available MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist
Mick Mars spoke to Gus Griesinger from
Glam-Metal.com recently about a number of topics. A few excerpts from the chat follow:
Gus: Why is the band now deciding to re-master and re-issue their past recordings?
Mick: "We’ve done it before on CD, but this time we’re also reissuing the catalog on vinyl. That’s really exciting for us because that’s the format the band started with. As people download more and more music, they are moving toward vinyl because its something you can hold. It has artwork you can take out of the sleeve and look at and feel. I think people still want to have something tangible with their music."
Gus: Now that the first Crüe Fest is complete, will there be another Crue Fest?
Mick: "There will definitely be another Crüe Fest. We’re just getting started."
Gus: You have been battling Ankylosing Spondylitis for most of your adult life (Ankylosing Spondylitis causes inflammation of the ligaments and tendons that connect the vertebrae in the spine). Do you have any inspiring words for the people who also suffer from this muscle inflammatory arthritis?
Mick: "I have had my ups and downs with the condition, but the main thing is that I have a good quality of life even though I’m afflicted with AS."
