RAVAGE Explain TMT Metalfest "Scam"
Boston's RAVAGE have issued the following update:
"There has been a lot of question as to what happened in regards to the TMT Metalfest this summer. Ravage, ATTACKER, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, RAVEN, HELSTAR, CHRIS CAFFERY and numerous others were scheduled to play the event in July. But it never happened.
There have been numerous attempts to contact the promoters by the various bands involved and they have met with no response whatsoever.
At this point it has become abundantly clear that the TMT Metalfest was a complete scam which must have ripped off innocent local bands for thousands of dollars in a pay-to-play scheme. The people who perpetrated this are the worst kind of con-artists and scum bags.
I strongly advise everyone and anyone to boycott any kind of show or function associated with Mr. Kenneth Randisi, his band Randeze and Total Metal Television or any of the other phony projects he and his associates may be involved in. These people are liars and crooks.
I personally spoke to Mr. Randisi last year as the festival was being organized and he spoke of this being his attempt to start 'a European-style metalfest' in the United States. Sadly, people like him and his associates are part of the reason such events don't happen in the USA.
The bands are currently in the process of pursuing legal action against the promoters of the event.
Rest assured, Ravage will make an appearance for the New York fans at some point next year. Details will be announced in due time."
