TYGERS OF PAN TANG - "We Hope 2009 Will Start And Continue As 2008 Ended As We Believe That We Still Have A Lot Of Mileage In Promoting Animal Instinct"
NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG have issued the following update:
"2009 will see the band heading off straight away to Italy to play four dates. The last time the band played Italy they had a great time and you guys proved you know how to Rock. The spirit and enthusiasm for the Tygers in Jacopos homeland is overwhelming and we hope you will all come out once again to have a great time. We have a fantastic Italian support band in Planet Hard, plus our old friends Blast Off in Verona just to get you into the mood for those early '80s classic NWOBHM tunes.
For our fans in Holland we are looking to get to you in late March early April. The venues are being booked now so we should know the dates very soon. We are also looking at some shows in Greece which seems to be a country we can never get to, because of cancellations but are determined to play for you guys this year. There will be other countries played in 2009 and if you want us to play your country let us know and we will do whatever we can to make it happen.
Looking Back at 2008 we would like to thank you all for your support throughout. We set out to achieve some milestones with a new album, playing live and generally getting the Tygers name back in the field of Classic British Hard Rock. It was hard work at times with some frustrations along the way but we made people aware the band was back. The response to the new album Animal Instinct was fantastic by both the music industry and you the fans and this inspired the band to keep trekking the long path of Rock n Roll. Having a new product opened a lot of doors which allowed us to play around the UK and ultimately Hard Rock Hell 2 (The Dragons Ball) in December which really was a day to remember. We played the second stage to a packed crowd and really got the message across that the Tygers were back roaring. We hope 2009 will start and continue as 2008 ended as we believe that we still have a lot of mileage in promoting Animal Instinct to the many Rock fans across the world who have not heard the new material."
