AC/DC is also the biggest selling artist in Canada with total album sales in excess of 550k units. Worldwide,
AC/DC is the highest selling artist of the year with over 10 million units sold between
Black Ice (5.3 million copies) and the bands’ extensive catalog (5.1 million copies).
AC/DC catalogue sales surpassed that of
THE BEATLES in North America in 2008.

Black Ice, topped sales charts in 29 Countries including the US, UK, Germany,
France, Argentina, Japan, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and more. In Canada it sold an incredible 118,759 in its first week, marking the band's first #1 Canadian debut in the SoundScan era and the largest first week sales in the industry in Canada since 2003.
