TWISTED TOWER DIRE - Vocalist Quits, Temporary Replacement Found
In a surprising move, longstanding singer Tony Taylor has left the Virginia based true metallers
TWISTED TOWER DIRE. Guitarist Scott Waldrop issued the following statement:
"Our long time vocalist and friend Tony left the band last Friday. Because of some personal problems he's been having we asked him to take a break from the band and not do the string of shows we have lined-up throughout the fall. This was mainly out of concern for him and also because we thought it would stabilize the band. Tony told us he was quitting on the spot if we asked him take a break. So far, that is that. Right now we're not sure if there's any chance he will come back. Our thoughts are with him and his family. The conversation only lasted about an hour, but It was absolutely one of the worst things I've had to go through between friends. For the meantime TTD is playing out with Johnny Aune on vocals from the Raleigh metal band VIPER. Check them out at
