IMPELLITTERI Guitarist Posts More Live Practice Video Footage Online

IMPELLITTERI mainman/guitarist Chris Impellitteri has updated his website to include more live practice video footage.

Chris recently commented on the forthcoming Impellitteri album, Good And Evil, stating: "I am very excited about this material because I challenged myself to push the envelope and grow artistically. The writing process was definitely time consuming because I wanted these songs to inspire people and excite them. So I knew that this CD had to be better than anything I have done to date. Fortunately, I have all this positive energy and motivation which led to some really amazing riffs and crazy soloing. This music is definitely metal with lots of fast shredding guitar solos and screaming vocals. The rhythms are heavy and addictive and the vibe is positive with lots of energy.

As many of you know, I don't like to interact with the media very often, but if this recording turns out well, I will promote this release heavily and tour extensively. But, first thing is first, so I am headed into the studio with my boys and hope to see all of you soon!!"

IMPELLITTERI will release its long-awaited new album, "Wicked Maiden", in Japan on January 21, 2009 via Victor Entertainment. The CD, which had the working title of "Good and Evil", marks the return to IMPELLITTERI of the band's former singer Rob Rock.

Commented Rock: "There has been speculation of whether I am a member or not, so I am here to state that IMPELLITTERI is officially reformed with Rob Rock as the lead singer, and we have every intention of building a future for the band.

"We will be touring and exploring every possible venue to build the band into an international brand. We look forward to making many records in the future and look forward to touring as many countries as possible.

"Our first release titled 'Wicked Maiden' will be released in late January starting with Japan, followed by Europe, and then the United States.

"The record is pure metal with screaming vocals, shredding guitar solos, killer rhythm section, and a fat production.

"'Wicked Maiden' was mixed in Vancouver, Canada by Greg Reely, and mastered by George Marino!!

"I am sure that all the fans of the classic Rob and Chris Impellitteri albums will be very pleased with our new release.

"2009 is looking to be an active year for me as I resurrect my role in IMPELLITTERI, and the Rob Rock solo band releases a live DVD later in 2009, and the DRIVER group performs at the Bang Your Head!!! festival in June. These activities come at a time when the economy worldwide is in turmoil and I am extremely grateful to all of the music lovers out there that continue to support my creativity."

"Wicked Maiden" is "by far the most amazing recording I have been involved with," according to IMPELLITTERI mainman/guitarist Chris Impellitteri. "It is filled with amazing riffs, fast shredding solos, screaming vocals, and, of course, a brutal rhythm section."

He added, "The goal of this record was to make a historic album that will rival 'Van Halen 1', OZZY's 'Blizzard of Oz', PANTERA's 'Cowboys from Hell', YNGWIE's 'Rising Force', METALLICA's 'Master of Puppets', and even new artists like CHILDREN OF BODOM and AVENGED SEVENFOLD."

IMPELLITTERI's long-awaited new album, "Wicked Maiden", will be released in Europe on April 24 via Metal Heaven Records.

IMPELLITTERI Announce Video Shoot For 'Wicked Maiden'

IMPELLITTERI leader Chris Impellitteri checks in with the following update:

"Impellitteri will shoot a major budget music video for 'Wicked Maiden' on February 4th, 2009 with Director John Logdson who directed the previous DEF LEPPARD video. The video will be a performance piece.

In addition, (I) will be on the cover of Young Guitar Magazine for the March issue of 2009.

Concerning this MySpace page... We have yet to add real music videos, concert footage, or band pictures. But, for the time being the band have added a few NAMM videos they shot for their endorsement companies.

The videos are simply fun instrumental music performances intended for a very small audience of musicians at the NAMM show. The big budget video footage will be posted late February."

As previously reported, Metal Heaven Records has set April 24th as the European release date for Impellitteri's new album, Wicked Maiden. The album will be available in North America on February 25th.
