Nightwish: Prochain Album Et Nouvelle Chanteuse

Dans une interview accordée au magazine finlandais "Plussa", Tuomas apporte quelques précisions sur le choix de la nouvelle chanteuse et sur le prochain album:

A propos de la nouvelle chanteuse :
- les auditions pour le choix de la nouvelle chanteuse se termineront en Décembre prochain.
- la chanteuse enregistrera sa voix sur le nouvel album en Février 2007.
- Son identité ne sera dévoilée qu'à l'été 2007, pour le lancement du single qui précèdera le nouvel album, non pas pour ennuyer les fans selon Tuomas, mais avant tout pour protéger la chanteuse qui aura déjà assez de mal à supporter son exposition, les critiques et les comparaisons lorsque son nom sera révélé.

A propos du nouvel album :
- les parties orchestrales seront enregistrées au studio Abbey Road.
- l'orchestre et les choeurs seront encore plus présents que sur Once.
- Il y aura également des influences celtiques sur le nouvel album, Tuomas étant très fan de l'Ecosse.

Les infos circulaient depuis près de deux semaines en "interne" chez Nuclear Blast et nous attendions une annonce plus "officielle" pour vous en dire plus, c'est chose faite, voici les news !

- Le nouveau single de Nightwish s'appelle "Eva". Il sera disponible le 30 Mai prochain UNIQUEMENT en téléchargement payant et légal. On espère qu'une plate forme de téléchargement international (iTunes etc) proposera le single... L'argent récolté par les ventes de ce single 100% online sera reversé à des oeuvres caricatives. Ce même jour, Nightwish annoncera le nom de la nouvelle chanteuse, et "Eva" devrait commencer à être diffusé en radio, du moins en Finlande.

- Le 31 Mai prochain, Tuomas et la nouvelle chanteuse donneront les premières interviews à Helsinki. On leur souhaite bien du courage !

- En Août prochain sortira le deuxième single de l'album, qui sortira cette fois-ci dans le commerce en cd single. On peut s'attendre à un clip ainsi qu'à de nombreux supports collectors...

- Et c'est enfin le 26 Septembre prochain que sortira le nouvel album de Nightwish, dont le nom n'a toujours pas été révélé officiellement.

Enfin, même si le site officiel n'a pas relayé l'info officiellement, une tournée nord-américaine de 23 dates est prévu en Octobre / Novembre 2007. La tournée europpéenne aura lieu ensuite.

NIGHTWISH - New Single Details Revealed

As exclusively reported here yesterday (February 18th), NIGHTWISH will be releasing their new single on May 30th. According to a band update, the track is called 'Eva' and it will be an internet-only single release; all profits of which shall be donated to a charity that will be announced later. In Finland, the single is available exclusively from NetAnttila.

'Eva' features the new Nightwish vocalist, chosen from about 2,000 applicants. The singer’s identity will be revealed simultaneously in a press statement and on the band’s website, www.nightwish.com , on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. A radio promo of the internet single will ship on the same day. The sixth Nightwish album will be released on September 26, 2007, preceded by a second, regular single release in August.

French NIGHTWISH website Nightwish France (www.nightwish-france.com ) has issued the following report:

Here is some news on Nightwish, the next album and the new singer, revealed by (band leader/keyboardist) Tuomas (Holopainen) in the Finnish magazine Soundi!

- The new singer recorded all her vocal parts! Only 30 people know her identity, including people from the label and the entourage of the group. Nightwish finally chose the singer of which they thought already since last year but they wanted to wait all the same until last January to confirm their choice.

- The album is in the course of mixing: 4 titles are already completed. Tuomas revealed that the title of 14 minutes the epic song will be 'The Poet And The Pendulum' and that the refrain would be:

I cannnot cry,
'Cause the shoulder shout more
I cannot die,
I, the whore for the cold world

The additional sounds written by Jussi Tegelman (mentioned in the log book of Tuomas as being a professional of the sound effects in the medium of the cinema) will be used in this piece, which has very to become a perfect song for the radio according to Tuomas (but 14 minutes for a title out of radio, it is not obvious that known as…).

As previously reported, the new Nightwish single called 'Eva', which will be available as download only, is going to be released on May 30th. All European download income of this single will go the Child Charity Foundation (Die Arche - www.kinderprojekt-arche.de ).

The sixth Nightwish album will be released on September 26, 2007, preceded by a second, regular single release in August.
