DIMMU BORGIR - More In Sorte Diaboli Details Following the OFFICIAL listening session at the Holmenkollen Park Hotel Rica in Oslo, Norway, BW&BK can EXCLUSIVELY report more details about DIMMU BORGIR's upcoming album, In Sorte Diaboli.

The artwork, which will be revealed on "The Ultimate Dimmu Borgir In Sorte Diaboli News Page" this coming Thursday (February 15th), compliments the
the medieval period the conceptual story is based upon and is influenced by a painting from the middle ages. The booklet will include 32 pages graphically detailing the tale of a Priest who "discovers that he has nothing to do with Christianity."

Nuclear Blast will release In Sorte Diaboli in the following formats: jewel case CD, limited edition digi-book, gatefold vinyl and an extremely limited "Nuclear Blast Mail Order" edition.

The limited edition digi-book will include one bonus track (maybe two), a bonus DVD featuring the album's first video,
'The Serpentine Offering' (4:42),
"Making Of In Sorte Diaboli",
and more behind-the-scenes/in-studio footage. Patric Ullaeus and his Revolver Film Company produced 'The Serpentine Offering' and Nuclear Blast says that it's their "biggest" video production project ever.

The limited edition gatefold vinyl will include a bonus 7" ("Everything doesn't fit on one record," a Nuclear Blast representative commented).

In Sorte Diaboli will now be available on April 27th (mainland Europe) and April 24th (North America) and April 30th (UK) via Nuclear Blast Records.

In Sorte Diaboli was produced by Fredrik Nordström and Patrik J. Sten. Mastering duties were taken care of by Russ Russell at an undisclosed location in the UK.

DIMMU BORGIR Video To Debut On Headbanger's Ball This Saturday

DIMMU BORGIR's video for 'The Serpentine Offering', the lead track off In Sorte Diaboli, the band's new album which is available in-stores now, will debut on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball this Saturday, April 28th at 7 PM (PACIFIC) / 10 PM (EASTERN). The Norwegian melodic black metal band is currently on their headlining tour of the US and Canada with UNEARTH from Massachusetts, California's DEVILDRIVER, and Canada's KATAKLYSM, which began Friday, April 20th in Cleveland, Ohio. As previously reported, PureGrainAudio.com has issued a video interview with Dimmu Borgir guitarist Silenoz, conducted in Toronto, ON on April 22nd.

A description reads: "During their stop in Toronto, Canada on April 22nd, while on tour with Unearth, Devildriver and Kataklysm, Dimmu Borgir were kind enough to connect with PureGrainAudio for a short video interview.

In Sorte Diaboli, the band's eighth studio album, was released on April 24th and sold over 14,000 copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan, securing the #2 slot on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart and #43 slot on the Top 200 Albums chart, marking the highest charting album debut in Nuclear Blast USA's history.

Renowned cross-media artist Joachim Luetke has unveiled numerous behind-the-scenes details regarding his artwork on DIMMU BORGIR's latest album In Sorte Diaboli at his official website. Luetke, who studied graphic-design in Switzerland during the late seventies, and improved his artistic cababilities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria, has worked with KREATOR and ARCH ENEMY in the past.

DIMMU BORGIR Drummer To Sit Out Rest Of Festival Season Due To Injury

Due to a recently diagnosed injury, DIMMU BORGIR drummer Hellhammer will be unable to play drums for the band on the remaining festival dates this summer and the upcoming European tour with AMON AMARTH and HATESPHERE.

Hellhammer's x-ray confirmed a severe neck prolapse causing numbness in his right arm. He will be going into treatment soon and could - quite possibly - undergo corrective surgery.

Taking over drum duties for the upcoming shows will be Tony Laureano (NILE, ANGELCORPSE, AURORA BOREALIS), who played for Dimmu Borgir during the band's North American stint on OZZFest in 2004 and during festival performances throughout 2005.

Says Nuclear Blast Records, "We wish Hellhammer a swift and successful recovery!"
