BUCKCHERRY - Create Your Own 'Everything' Video And Win A Trip To London

The following update has been posted at BUCKCHERRY's MySpace page:

"Grammy-nominated, Gold-certified, Buckcherry and entertainment website ArtistDirect.com have announced an open call to fans to create their own video for the next single, 'Everything', directing them to upload homemade videos to YouTube by March 9th.

The band will then choose their favorite submission and the winner and a friend will receive roundtrip airfare, hotel
accommodations, tickets and VIP access to the Buckcherry show in London on March 20th at the Mean Fiddler.

Additionally the winning video will run/air for a month on Buckcherry's official website and MySpace page.

BUCKCHERRY To Film Live DVD In September


BUCKCHERRY guitarist Stevie D. confirmed to BW&BK recently that the band will be releasing a live DVD before Christmas. He wasn't sure what show will be filmed, but it'll be from the current Bad Boys tour and it will be filmed before September 22nd.

BUCKCHERRY Celebrates A 'Crazy' Anniversary

BW&BK has received the following press release:

Eleven Seven/Atlantic recording group BUCKCHERRY is marking a major milestone this week as their blockbuster hit, 'Crazy Bitch', celebrates a full year in the Nielsen Ringscan Top 30 - the only track to do so in the chart's history. The ringtone was already a smash in Nielsen Ringscan's first-ever reporting week (ending September 3rd, 2006), and in the year that followed, has yet to drop out of the Top 30. In its 52nd week on the Ringscan chart, the ringtone is currently ranked at 23. 'Crazy Bitch' has been certified as a Platinum Master Ringtone by the RIAA.

Released in April 2006, 15, the Los Angeles-based rock outfit's third album, has proven a triumph, spending a remarkable 72 weeks on the Billboard 200 on its way towards RIAA platinum certification for sales exceeding one million units.

'Crazy Bitch' - which earned Buckcherry a Grammy Awards nomination in the "Best Hard Rock Performance" category - caused a sensation upon its initial release last year, reaching number two at Mainstream Rock and number three at Active Rock. A number of further rock radio hits followed, including 'Next 2 You', 'Broken Glass', and 'Everything'. The singles have all blown up online, with cumulative digital sales now approaching one million. The album's fifth single, 'Sorry', is currently set to impact at multi-format radio outlets nationwide on September 10th.

Buckcherry is among the most popular bands on MySpace, currently standing tall in the site's Top 10 Indie Artists ranking with over 18 million streams thus far. The hard-touring band has spent its summer on the road, lighting up amphitheatres and arenas as part of the Bad Boys Of Rock megabill. The road show - which also stars Hinder and Papa Roach - will continue to travel North America through a September 22th finale at the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre.

In addition, Buckcherry will be among the co-headliners at the annual FM99 Lunatic Luau, slated for September 15th at Virginia Beach's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. On September 17th, the band will perform at the Hard Rock Café in New York City for the culmination of the Bike Night series, a five-night series sponsored by the Hard Rock and the Indian Larry Legacy to benefit September's Mission, an organization which supports the development of a memorial park in the former World Trade Center site.

The band recently announced its milestone 300th live show in support 15, slated for December 15th at Las Vegas' House Of Blues.

The show marks the end of an amazing year for the band - 15 has proven a triumph, spending a remarkable 82 weeks on the Billboard 200 on its way towards RIAA platinum certification for sales above 1 million units.

BUCKCHERRY - "The Most Ass-Kicking Songs We've Ever Written"

BUCKCHERRY has begun work on their new album, the followup to last year's hugely successful 15. Guitarist Keith Nelson (pictured) has made the first entry in the band's studio blog:

"Hey everybody, this is the first entry in the studio blog for the upcoming record. We came off the road at the end of September and took a few days off, then got right back to work writing and rehearsing new material. Right now things are going well, we've got five songs completed as full demo recordings, another four or five songs that have been written completely, and a boat load of great ideas we're trying to finish. I'm stoked on the new stuff! We got off to a slow start for us, I think we're were all so used to being in a tour bus that it took us a while to settle in. Oh... and X and I had to ride our choppers from Florida to LA with a few friends to blow out the cobwebs, and get in the right frame of mind for the long studio hours. JT's been spending some quality time in the boxing gym, Stevie's been decorating his new pad, and Jimmy is impeccably dressed, as usual. But... we are definitely deep in it now, and this past week has produced what may be the most ass-kicking songs we've ever written. I'm really looking forward to playing this stuff live, and I really can't wait for you guys to hear this stuff! Anyway, I'll have more specifics later on the songs, maybe a few titles, and we’ll keep ya posted as to when we actually start the record. More on this and other useless info soon to follow. As previously reported, Buckcherry’s 15 has proven a huge achievement for the band who went from a sales base of less than 150,000 on their previous album to hearing RIAA platinum certification for sales above 1 million units on its current release. The album has remained on the Billboard 200 for a remarkable 89 weeks, and has also proven that Buckcherry are multi-format hit-makers, having reached the upper echelons of the rock, alternative and now the Hot/AC & pop charts.
