CAGE To Release Hell Destroyer In North America Via DA Records Entertainment

San Diego, California-based heavy metal band CAGE have signed an exclusive deal for the release of their eagerly awaited fourth CD titled Hell Destroyer? in the United States and Canada with new up and coming American record label Destroy All Records Entertainment (www.darecordsonline.com ) and BCD Music Group (www.bcdmusicgroup.com ).

Hell Destroyer was recorded, engineered, produced and mixed by Richard ?The Guru? Carr and executive producers Cage vocalist Sean Peck and guitarist Dave Garcia at Richard Carr Studios in San Diego, California.

The CD was mastered by 2 time Grammy award winner Gavin Lurssen (GUNS N ROSES, ALICE COOPER, MOTÖRHEAD)) at Lurssen Mastering in Hollywood, California.

The cover artwork was done once again by Marc Sasso who did the cover for Cage's third CD ?Darker Than Black? and who has also done recent artwork for HALFORD; DIO; MORBID ANGEL and ROB ROCK among many others artists.

San Diego, California heavy metal band CAGE will be releasing their new fourth CD Hell Destroyer via the following record labels worldwide on the following dates:

CAGE Singer To Be Featured On Mexico's Mordor Radio

Mexico's leading metal webzine / online radio station Mordor will be hosting a 3 hour long special radio program featuring interviews with CAGE vocalist Sean Peck and guitarist Dave Garcia on Sunday, May 6.

The brand new Cage CD Hell Destroyer will be played in it's entirety during the program and will also focus on Cage's performance during the recent MAGO DE OZ FEST dates which the band played in the 2 largest arenas in Mexico (Palacio de Los Deportes in Mexico City and the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon) this past week.

CAGE Schedule Hell Destroyer CD Release Parties In US, Mexico

San Diego metallers CAGE will be having two Hell Destroyer CD release parties in the United States and Mexico.

Tonight (May 25th), Cage will hold their US CD release party at The Jumping Turtle club in San Marcos, CA. Special guests are AGENT
STEEL, AUDKIK and AGHORI.

Tomorrow (May 26th), the band will hold their CD release party at the recentlyinagurated El Jardin Del Silencio Extreme Rock Bar in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Special guest are SENTINEL and 2 local bands.

BW&BK Exclusive: CAGE - Hell Of A Good Record!

In an excerpt from an upcoming BW&BK article, singer Sean Peck discusses Hell Destroyer, the Biblical concept surrounding Revelations (end of the world) and particularly, the song 'Rise Of The Beast'.

"That's one of my personal favorites. We just played it live, for the first time, and it went over huge. It was one of the first ones written. It's where everyone takes the mark of the beast (a bio-chip).

'Lords Of Chaos' blame the assassination on organized religion and corporate greed. The demon army that comes up (from Hell) uses that chip as a homing device, to kill all the humans. The demon army I sort of had visions of (movie) Reign Of Fire, where the dragons come out.

Originally, we had a completely different version of that song, called 'Faster For The Master,' a whole different topic. It just wasn't happening. Some bands would have said, 'That's killer, put it on the record,' but I was never satisfied. I always look for the magic of the songwriting. Songwriting is where I think we stand out from so many other bands. There are so many killer musicians and great singers out there, but songwriting is where we have a little bit of an edge, in our genre.

There's not much to innovate. If you innovate too much, this classic heavy metal/power metal, you lose the essence of what that music is. As long as you have solid songs and show a little of your technical shredding, here and there, that's cool.

The only place to innovate is only in the idea department. I wanted to set the new standard for what a concept record is, by making it completely ripping and very detailed. We'd done (that song) a few different ways and finally came up with that title. I checked it out online. It's such a cool Priesty riff Dave (Garcia, guitar) came up with. I really like the vocal attack. I sort of have this Udo (Dirkschneider, ACCEPT) thing going on, with a SIX FEET UNDER growl underneath."

California metallers CAGE have posted a preview clip for their forthcoming DVD release, Live In Switzerland.

As reported earlier this week, Cage have posted their original KING DIAMOND tribute song (called 'King Diamiond') on their official band MySpace page.

The song is an homage to all things King Diamond/MERCYFUL FATE and is a bonus track on the - Hell Destroyer CD versions released in Europe (MTM Music); Mexico (Asenath Records) and Central America / South America (Dynamo Records).

Vocalist Sean Peck states "We wanted to pay tribute to the King and thought that all CAGE and KING DIAMOND fans would enjoy it. Personally, I am a big King Diamond fan and this is my and the band's way of paying tribute to some of his past killer recorded works. The song is written in the spirit of King Diamond's music and name checks characters from the Melissa, Abigail and Them cds. The song is the first track we ever performed live in Mexico from the Hell Destroyer CD and has been going over great live at all of our gigs! We love seeing all the people chant King Diamond at the end of the song!"
