SONATA ARCTICA's Unia Enters German Charts At #35

Nuclear Blast Europe reports that Finnish melodic metallers SONATA ARCTICA enters the German album charts with their new album, Unia (Finnish for "Dreams"), at #35.

Following it's release, Unia hit #1 on the official Finnish album charts. This is the first time ever one of their albums directly hit the pole position after the first week.

SONATA ARCTICA Record 'The Best Song Ever'; Audio Clip Available

Pictures and audio footage of SONATA ARCTICA vocalist Tony Kakko and keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg recording 'The Best Song Ever' for Revolver Magazine's ongoing band vs portable recording studio series The Unit are now available online. The so-called "lyrics" are also available. It's highly unlikely the song will make it onto a future Sonata Arctica album as a bonus track, but stranger things have happened...

SONATA ARCTICA Debut Goes Gold In Finland






Following the Gold certification of SONATA ARCTICA's "best of" compilation The Collection, the band's debut album, Ecliptica, has also been certified Gold in Finland.

More than 20,000 copies were sold since the release of the album. The band now has six Gold records.
