DAVID LEE ROTH is scheduled to perform in the Mari Center at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville at 9 PM Saturday, October 21st.

David Lee Roth, sometimes referred to as “Diamond Dave,” has a flamboyant, larger than life stage presence and a party-hearty surfer dude persona. Roth is also known for his acrobatic leaps, long mane of blond hair and skintight spandex outfits.

Roth rose to prominence in the 1970s Los Angeles rock scene as the lead singer of VAN HALEN. From 1979 to 1984, the band released a string of classic mega-selling albums: Van Halen II, Women And Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down and 1984. Van Halen achieved their greatest commercial success, including their first Billboard No. 1 single for the song 'Jump' in 1984.

The scammer who's been offering clubs a phony chance to book DAVID LEE ROTH has been doing the same thing with other artist names.

According to pollstar.com, the scam artist has also been trying to get people interested in shows by GUNS N' ROSES leader Axl Rose, POISON, Poison frontman BRET MICHAELS, and ALICE IN CHAINS.

The phony agent has used a few different names, including one that's very similar to the name of Roth's real, well-known booking agent, who said, "He's using my name. That's where he really crossed the line with me. I'm going to drop coin on the table to find this nut."

The real agent has been in contact with both the FBI and the Federal Trade Commission.

DAVID LEE ROTH Serenades Leukemia Patient For Songs Of Love Foundation

Ashley Abernathy was 9 years old, suffering from leukemia and needed to be cheered up. She found her inspiration from the unlikeliest of places: a serenade from DAVID LEE ROTH (ex-VAN HALEN.

The former Van Halen frontman recorded a song especially for Abernathy, giving the little girl the rock-star treatment in the heart-rending tune.

"Who deals the cards? Ashley Abernathy," Roth sang. "Who steals your heart? Ashley Abernathy. Ashley Abernathy makes you happy!!"

"It was just amazing, really cool, to think that a rock star would've recorded a song for me," said Ashley, who is now 15 and in high school in Gastonia, North Carolina. She has been in remission for almost five years.

The song was made by the Songs of Love Foundation, a Queens-based nonprofit that records personalized tunes for chronically or terminally ill children and young adults. This month, the foundation expects to reach a milestone by recording song No. 10,000.
